It is an accepted maxim that theologia parabolica non est argumentativa. It is, thus, not accepted procedure to derive a doctrine from a parable. This topic needs discussion not only because of the value of such study, but also because of the large amount of opposition to the Old Testament at the present time and the immense forces that are directing their efforts to overthrow the Old Testament.
