The 1966 meeting of the Kings Mountain Baptist association met at Double Springs Baptist Church in Shelby, NC. The American Bible Society celebrated its 150th anniversary. In the Biblical Recorder report, it was mentioned that a new movement called the Death of God Movement had been started. Gardner-Webb College reported the opening of the Dover Campus Center. It was proposed in the General Board report that a radio program sponsored by the association be started. Contents of an envelope presumably collected by John D. Carroll from Paterson, New Jersey, who served as president of the International Catholic Deaf Association (ICDA). These materials were included in a scrapbook compiled by Carroll and were likely intended to be added to document activities and items of interest to the Deaf and Deaf Catholic communities, particularly in Paterson, Philadelphia and New York. The newspaper clippings are dated from 1947 to 1966 and are sourced from a variety of newspapers, newsletters and ephemera including The Advocate, The Silent News, New Jersey School Alumni Bulletin, Catholic Deaf Society of the Diocese …
