It is the contention of this writer that, although these various theological interpretations may offer a partial explanation to the enigma of Luke's "central section," they do not adequately account for the diversity or arrangement of material. It is the writer's thesis that Luke may have selected a part of his materials for the "central section" from a collection of pericopae used to train missionaries in the early Church.
