The Positivism Of Auguste Comte, Michael J. Czernecki
The Positivism Of Auguste Comte, Michael J. Czernecki
Bachelors’ Theses
A man lives according to the philosophy of life he holds. There have been many philosophers of prominence that have been studied, read and quoted but few were as interesting as Comte. By his great diligence and thinking, Comte was driven to a mental unbalance but he recuperated to finish his work on a social reconstruction of the days after the French Revolution. He had a great idea, if it would only have worked out, but alas, his basic hypothesis was wrong and he had no verification for his opinions.

The United States Federal Reserve System, Howard L. Warhanek
Bachelors’ Theses
The reliability of this thesis is based upon the factual and theoretical knowledge of men who are considered the greatest authorities on central banking in the United States - including such writers as Carter Glass, the father of the Federal Reserve Act and finance expert of the Senate; w. Randolph Burgess, an officer in the Reserve System, along with R. L. Weissman, former financial editor of the American Mercury. Liberal use has been made from the above authors, along with many others who are cited in the formal bibliography.

What Shall We Give, Florence Ruth Ziehms
Bachelors’ Theses
The purpose of this work was to compile a five year program of plays suitable for production by a high school dramatic group. The average club meets once every two weeks , making an average of eighteen weeks a year . The work is to serve as a guide to enable the teacher to produce a diversified program including plays of all types within the capabilities of the average secondary school dramatic group .
Roman Comedy Characters, Gertrude Sidek
Roman Comedy Characters, Gertrude Sidek
Bachelors’ Theses
At the first glance any connection between the modern comedies we see on our Broadway stages and the plays the ancient Romans saw in their elaborately decorated theatres, seems improbable. If it were possible for us to attend the Imperial theatre in New York today and see a modern production, then fly backwards some two thousand years and attend a Roman play, we would see a great many resemblences. For one thing the stage settings might be a great deal alike, as many of our modern architectual and stylized sets resemble the Roman stage without its elaborate ornaments. Next we …
Household Activity A Study Of The Apartment, Duplex And Single House Families And Their Activities, Helene Perrin Schwarts
Household Activity A Study Of The Apartment, Duplex And Single House Families And Their Activities, Helene Perrin Schwarts
Bachelors’ Theses
In the following pages it is my intention to show the differences existing in family life in the Apartment, Duplex ana Single House. The point which is stressed is the fact that the Single house or Duplex is more conducive to ordinary family life than is the Apartment. The Apartment discourges to a certain degree a normal family life.

Cooperative Milk Marketing In The Milwaukee Milk Shed, Robert John Smith
Cooperative Milk Marketing In The Milwaukee Milk Shed, Robert John Smith
Bachelors’ Theses
Few people realize today that milk is by far the most important agricultural product in the United States, furnishing as it does one fourth of the total farm income. In any normal and typical year, such as 1936, the value of wheat and cotton, added together, fall far short of the cost of the milk crop. If we take the eight leading crops in 1936 and rank them in the order of their cash value, we see that wheat is eighth and hay is crowding cotton for fourth place. Here is the list and to avoid astronomical figures, the author …
St. Bonaventure On The Relationship Between The Natural And Supernatural Virtues, Virgil William Kalchthaler
St. Bonaventure On The Relationship Between The Natural And Supernatural Virtues, Virgil William Kalchthaler
Bachelors’ Theses
The Middle Ages, although commonly called the Dark Ages, are probably the most interesting and intrigueing period of the history of the world. It was rich in learning as well as in adventure. It found the Holy Roman Church, whose history is more intrigueing than the history of any existing government today, changing the course of the history of the world in its intellectual as well as in its political phase.

A Translation Of, And Commentary On St. Thomas Aquinas' De Natura Verbi Intellectus, Thomas A. Mccormack
Bachelors’ Theses
Man, whenever he is sufficiently sure of the necessities of life and his sufficient leisure to think, has become interested in the acquisition of knowledge and of the wisdom which grows out of it. And then, as soon as he has acquired some knowledge for its own sake, he becomes self critical and wonders about the truth of that knowledge. Thus, at the very foundation of our western philosophy we find philosophers earnestly engaged in making the distinction between knowledge and opinion, and in trying to solve the problem of truth.
That this problem is a most persistent one is …
Lewi Sarett, The Poet, June Kathleen Wallner
Lewi Sarett, The Poet, June Kathleen Wallner
Bachelors’ Theses
Doctor Lew Sarett believes that poetry is the record of beauty and it 1s implications, which are usually social; which highly observant men have seen and the prose facts of the world in which they live. He went further to explain that poetry records the works of Divine Providence. The poet records the things which he consciously captures; such as the affright of beauty and it's implications and the social implications which interest him• Insight, according to Sarett, is the key to good poetry; it may simply be a record of beauty.
