《詩經》疊音詞的語音象徵, Jonathan Smith, Zhihui Zhong

本文研究《詩經》（Book of Odes）———一部最早在兩千多年前以古代漢語吟誦的詩歌總集———的語音特性。《詩經》留給我們的只有文本形式，這些詩的許多表達功能注定是無法恢復的。然而，下面兩個原因卻給了我們一些希望。一是越來越精細的古代漢語語音———現代漢語語音的起源———重構。我所以能進行這項研究，完全是因爲在這個領域的學者的努力。二是基於語言學的一般原則：構成人類語言基礎的認知過程在歷史發展中是保持不變的。在這篇論文中，我認爲在古代漢語詞彙的特定範疇中是普遍存在語音象徵詞（sound symbolic）的：完全相同的重複，用現代漢語表達是“疊音詞”（duplicated-syllable words）。但這個説法只有建立在對現代語言聲義關係的平行觀察中才有意義。這種還有生命力的、能啟發讀者對古代漢語詩歌進行更精細地鑒賞的語音象徵就在我們身邊———包括現在還在使用的古代漢語詞彙。

論早期五言詩的節奏演變與美學示範, Zhenting Luo

以“上二下三”作爲五言詩的典型節奏，是自明清以來的共識。但所謂“下三”結構並非不可再分的最小意義單位，五言詩據其内部變數仍可進一步細分爲：“二一二”式、“二二一”式及不可再分的“二三”式。它們在五言詩發展的各個階段互有消長，大致經歷了從“二一二”主導，轉向廣義的“二三”結構，最後“二二一”式興起，與早期的“二一二”間錯相用，成爲此後五言詩的主導節奏。這條五言詩的節奏演變軌迹表明：一方面，來自《詩經》、楚辭的較爲古拙的“二一二”式，是五言詩興起的重要來源，同時也是漢魏五言古詩獨特藝術風貌的重要組成部分；另一方面，五言詩在自身的發展過程中，也逐漸尋找到一種更具新變意味的構句方式，從而促使齊梁“二、五異聲”的聲律法則，向近體詩“二、四異聲”的節奏轉變。

論五言詩體的音步組合原理, Minli Zhao

中國早期詩體的生成與音樂有直接關係，五言詩也不例外。它是由一個對稱音步與一個非對稱音步組成的詩行，且對稱音步在前，非對稱音步在後。這是在四言體和楚辭體之後形成的一種新詩體，也是中國詩體發展形式上的一個飛躍。它興盛於漢代，以漢語詩體對音樂節奏的探索爲内在動力，又有賴於語言的發展。中國古典詩詞脱胎於音樂，因而特别重視詩歌的聲音節奏，對稱具有重要意義。同時，由於漢語是一字一音的語言，理想的詩行需要保證有單音詞的靈活存在和自由組合的音樂條件，五言詩恰恰能够同時滿足這兩條要求。五言詩體的初起階段，詩人所關注的主要是音步的對稱和詩行的對稱，進而關注詞性的對稱和句法的對稱。其所以走向格律化，同樣是音樂節奏在其中起了重要作用。

漢語詩律起源 : 證自沈約詩案例研究, Hongming Zhang

永明詩歌，對中國學術史而言，其意義不僅在於詩歌史，它在文學史、文化史、語言史諸方面之影響，也非其它詩體所能匹配。論永明體，自然要談沈約聲律論。但沈氏學説究竟爲何，其論與其作關係怎樣，學界至今少有服衆之論。坊間相當流行的説法，其實問題不少。在此僅舉其犖犖大端，略説一二。學界普遍認爲，沈約首創“四聲八病”，並將四聲分成平仄兩類，構成漢語近體詩平仄二元對立的聲律體系。梅維恒（Victor Mair）和梅祖麟（Tsu-lin Mei）則進一步主張，沈約是受梵詩格律影響而有“八病”之説、“平仄”之創。不過，讓人困惑的是，沈約及其他六朝詩人的創作實踐並不遵守這些規則。可見，漢語近體詩聲律的起源仍是一個不解之謎。本文就以下諸問題對沈約詩歌作一窮盡性研究，希冀解決這一謎團：（1） 詩律的本質；（2）漢語格律詩的聲律模式；（3）漢律梵源説證僞；（4）漢詩格律如何由六朝律嬗變至唐朝律。

聲成文，謂之音 : 倚聲填詞中的音律與聲律問題, Yidui Shi

聲音之道與政相通，與天地萬物亦相連接。聲音的安樂與怨怒，爲治世與亂世的不同體現；天地萬物的種種音響，構成大自然的紋理（文理）。樂歌創造，文學語言與音樂語言的相互應合。倚聲填詞，既倚樂歌之聲，亦倚歌詞之聲。音律與聲律，各有所司，各盡其職，二者未能混淆。永明四聲的發現及運用，自沈約起。唇齒喉舌鼻與宫商角徵羽兩相對應，爲樂歌脱離音樂創造條件。倚聲填詞之所謂填者，自温庭筠起。逐弦吹之音，爲側艷之詞；以文詞的聲律追逐（應合）樂歌的音律，爲樂府歌詞創作脱離音樂創造條件。沈約與温庭筠，兩個標誌性的人物，兩個標誌性的階段，兩座里程碑。這是本文立論的大背景。準此，本文擬分别闡發以下三個問題：一、音律與聲律，兩個不同的概念；二、音律與聲律，近世詞界的一個盲點；三、音律與聲律，登上藝術殿堂的階梯。

北齊文人對齊梁詩的學習與改造, Xi Jin

東魏北齊時期文學之士，可按時間先後分爲兩個集團，即從東魏乃至北魏末年即開始創作的前期文學集團，和在北齊時交往密切，並於齊末同入文林館的後期文學集團。二者在成員、交游、唱和等方面頗有重合之處，但仍有着本質上的差别。從參與人員來説，前期文學集團以“北地三才”爲核心，而後期文學集團雖以祖珽、陽休之等政治地位較高者爲領袖，但真正的核心卻是盧思道、薛道衡、李德林以及顔之推等人。而從在文學史中所承擔的任務來説，前者主要是模仿、學習南朝詩體，後者則又分爲兩個階段：在北齊時，他們主要是通過與南方士人的交流溝通，將南北雙方的文學理論、詩風、音韻等方面相比較且各有取捨，初步建立了一套新的體系；在入周後，隨着創作題材的擴大和創作技巧的成熟，進一步鞏固這一體系，並終於在入隋之後，在理論方面和創作方面都達到了一個新的高度，直接開啟了初唐的詩歌變革。

駢文韻律與超時空語法 : 以《蕪城賦》爲例, Shengli Feng

“駢文”得名於文章排句之方式、“四六文”得名於造句之字數。漢魏以降，駢文儷偶便成爲中國古典文學的一個重要文體。理論上説，文學語言、文體形式均根植於該語言的語法機制。然而，爲什麽駢文句式要四六？四六的拼搭有何必然？四六之美何在？駢文離開“四”和“六”還是不是“駢文”？此類問題仍然有待回答，本文即探討這方面問題的一個嘗試。

中國詩文的聲音與意義, Zongqi Cai

“聲音當是意義的回聲”（“The sound must seem an echo to the sense”）是18 世紀著名英國詩人亞歷山大·蒲柏（Alexander Pope）所説的名言。在討論西方詩歌的聲音時，人們往往會引用這句名言，證明聲音於詩歌藝術所起到的重要作用。和西方詩歌類似的是，在中國詩歌文化中，聲音也與意義密切相關，而且不僅是意義的回響，還往往自身就藴藏有意義。然而，在中國詩文的研究中，聲音的重要地位長久以來卻爲人們所忽視。爲了唤起研究者對中國詩文中聲音的重視，本學報邀請海内外的專家共同合作，按歷史時序深入探研聲音在不同詩文體式中的重要性，期望揭示聲音與意義的内在關係。所收録的十二篇文章都從各自不同而獨特的角度切入聲音的各個維度，探尋中國文學中的聲音議題，並試圖清楚地闡發中國詩文某一文體或多類文體中，聲音與意義的互聯、互動關係。爲此，本專輯以“聲音與意義：中國古典詩文新探”爲書名。

大同句律形成過程及與五言詩單句韻律結構變化之關係, Xiaoqin Du

近體詩律形成的一個前提基礎，是五言詩單句的律化。但學界此前在研究五言近體詩聲律體系成立問題時，主要考察的是五言詩句、聯間“粘對”規則的建立，對單句律化問題關注不够。即便有所涉及，亦多從齊梁時期甚至到漢魏時期的五言詩中找尋出符合後世近體詩律的律句，然後看其在不同歷史時期的發展情況。鑒於最近仍有學者在“執近體觀念以繩永明體”，本文遂在吸收學界已有成果的基礎上，對現存南北朝隋唐五言詩進行全面聲律分析和資料統計，又結合此一歷史時期相關詩律理論資料，對五言詩律化過程中的一個重要環節———大同句律的産生及其原因作了深入考察，還指出五言詩單句韻律結構與語法結構之間存在著一定的關聯性，在五言詩單句發展過程中，音步類型的變化與各種句式本身的表現藝術特點也有較大的關係。

"古文"與聲音 : 兼及其與詩學的關聯, Yinchi Chen

中國傳統之中，以文字爲主要媒介的文學，與聲音的關涉始終密切，這不僅表現在與音樂緊密相關的文學樣式上，表現在講究聲韻調諧之美的韻文裏面，即使散體的“古文”亦呈現此一特質。本文首先例舉古文學習和書寫中與聲音相關的若干事實，以爲全篇的導引；而後著重疏理、分析集古文傳統之大成的清代桐城派諸位古文大家，在習學前代古文和從事古文寫作等重要方面對於聲音的認識，可以見出聲音在桐城古文學裏面具有的關鍵地位；最後，推溯桐城古文家重視古文的聲音層面而形成前此所無的系統認識之緣由，從他們所持詩與古文一致的觀念入手，提出他們的詩學造詣對其古文聲音觀存在重要的影響，這由他們討論古文聲音的術語範疇與前代詩學所運用者有相承之迹，亦可獲得證明。

Contemporary philosophers working on Chinese Philosophy, Confucianism in particular, disagree about the status of metaphysics in early Confucianism. Some maintain that metaphysics are absent by pointing to the overwhelming emphasis on practical concerns – ethical and political – in the early Confucian texts. Others insist that even if there were no explicit metaphysical discussion or theorizing, metaphysical assumptions are inevitable. However do these assumptions point to one definite metaphysical system, or are they so vague and ambiguous that different mutually incompatible metaphysics could be constructed from them and attributed arbitrarily to the early Confucians? This phenomenological research explored previous personal therapy (PT) experiences of East Asian music therapists during their training in the US. The study focused on examining the meaning of being therapy clients while they were music therapy students, and discovering the influence of PT on their personal, clinical, and musical development during and after the training. In addition, two different cultural influences on the therapeutic process were examined. Eight music therapists from Korea, Hong Kong, and Japan participated in this study. 南來香港 : 「和平文藝」作者 : 一九五、六〇年代《星島晚報》副刊「星晚」的連載小說研究, Hoi Yin, Yuki Shum

劉以鬯曾指出「和平文藝」作家（即「和平文人」）對1949年後的香港文學的影響是重要的關鍵。1949年的政治變動吸引了左派文人北上，而歐陽天、徐訏、易文和劉以鬯等四位「和平文人」卻南來香港。一九五、六〇年代香港的報紙副刊地位特殊，南來文人就以報紙副刊作為文學作品的主要發表園地。四位作家也不例外，最擅長的謀生技能主要是創作和編輯報章副刊或雜誌，又或是二者兼之。《星島晚報》副刊「星晚」是他們初到香港的主要發表園地，作品的文學性較強，此副刊更是五、六〇年代香港文壇一個重要而目前未有充份研究的文藝園地。和平文人是南來文人的其中一群，他們筆下呈現了「香港」的某個側面，值得追問的是，他們筆下的「香港」為何如此，由此探討他們的心態。

一九五、六〇年代副刊的連載小說是結集成書和改編成電影的前置文本，在報刊、出版業、電影業三個香港文化產業中擔當了非常重要的角色。連載小說雖有廣泛傳閱的優長，同時也有文類特點的限制，與結集作品要求小說內容的整體性產生衝突，作家或會在結集時加以修訂。另一方面，當時的文學作品被改編為電影的情況非常普遍。原著作家或會參與電影製作，工作跨越了不同的媒介；更有作家在跨界工作後，汲取電影拍攝技巧，運用於自己的文學創作中。四位作家在《星島晚報•星晚》的連載小說具跨界特點，是研究當時文化產業的重要例子。

本文提出以下三個研究問題：

一、和平文人在《星島晚報•星晚》上連載了不少作品，當中所呈現的一九五、六〇年代香港社會的面貌是怎樣的？

二、和平文人的連載作品透現出他們怎樣的心態？

三、和平文人的連載作品是小說結集與電影改編的前置文本，與當時報業以外的文化產業（主要是出版業和電影業）組成了緊密的生產線，然則，連載小說與這些文化產業的互動情況具體如何？

若要勾勒一九五、六〇年代的香港文壇面貌，必須兼顧作家、作品及刊登園地等三方面。本文以《星島晚報•星晚》為園地，以歐陽天、徐訏、易文和劉以鬯作為研究對象，以連載小說為焦點，勾勒當時的文學面貌，對作品及文化背景深入研究。

The absence of auscultation, listening for precise judgement, in the perceptual experience entails the phenomenon of the employment of eyes for ears in the present "era of pictorial-reading." Listening has been entrusted with the power to resist the increasingly noisy self-talking in modern life. The earliest literary activity in mankind history is story-telling through listening, and due to the absence of auscultation, some important information only available to listening has been unrevealed from literary works. The paper argues that to re-read literary works from the perspective of listening facilitates to offset the perceptual imbalance caused by visual hegemony.

Schema is an important concept in Kant's philosophy, but Kant delimited it to the territory of epistemology. This paper argues that schema is also an important aesthetic concept. Schema is grasped through intuitive activities, and it follows that schema has certain aesthetic value. Schema is an object of aesthetic activity, but most often it also participates indirectly in aesthetic activities as the source of artistic images. The homogeneity between cognitive schema and aesthetic schema shows the homology of cognitive activities and aesthetic activities.

The first seventeen years from the establishment of P. R. China to the Cultural Revolution (1949 to 1966) is a special period for literary survival. The history of "big theory" is coming to an end, and the "post-theory" emerges as a new paradigm of discourse and system of knowledge. Post-theory takes on an anti-essentialist, non-centralist, pluralistic and historized standpoint of knowledge to reconstruct the validity of legitimacy, opposing rigid essentialism, logocentrism and the logic of totality and identification. In Mid-Tang dynasty, self-annotations to poems were frequently practiced in Bai Juyi (772—846), Yuan Zhen (779—831) and other poets. This act as an extension of literary creation became an important means to assist their poetic expression, and it showed strong audience awareness. This act was especially practiced when poets edited their works for an expected interpretation of their works in later reading. Poetry critics from the Ming and Qing dynasties explored the different features of the Han and Wei poetries, which resulted in the distinction between the poetries of the Han and Wei dynasties. Their explorations also indicated that the stylistic principles of poetry began to take shape. Wang Shizhen first claimed that Cao Zhi's achievements were lower than Cao Cao's, while Hu Yinglin examined the differences between the Han poetry and the Wei dynasty poetry, maintaining that Han poetry was unadorned and elegantly simple while Wei poetry was embellished with rhetorical strategies. The paper considers how one might assess the adequacy of art-historical accounts that exemplify what Michael Baxandall terms the 'inferential criticism' of paintings, where the latter is an instance of what Wollheim called 'criticism as retrieval'. The problem is to reconcile the interpretive nature of such accounts, and their claims to provide us with trans-cultural and trans-historical understandings, with more general 'scientific' constraints on explanation. I draw a parallel with a problem in interpretive ethnography considered by Clifford Geertz, and sketch the latter's claim that the former involves 'generalising within cases' rather than 'generalising across cases'.
