Chamisa: A Journal of Literary, Performance, and Visual Arts of the Greater Southwest
The Pecos Valley Series is an oral history project developed over two years whose aim was to capture the cultural practices in agriculture and activism that is evident to the cultural identities of the northern New Mexico region. Participants include folks whose family genealogy has been tied to the Valley for hundreds of years, while also including transplant perspectives to demonstrate the complexity of placemaking. The Pecos Valley Series, was produced in what Nuevo Mexicano scholars term Querencia- a deep love for place and its history.
