Founded in 1953, Et Cetera is an annual literary magazine that publishes the creative writing and artwork of Marshall University students and affiliates. Et Cetera is free to the Marshall University community.
Et Cetera welcomes submissions in literary and film criticism, poetry, short stories, drama, all types of creative non-fiction, photography, and art.

Calliope was first published in 1977, through a Creative Writing course (CW200: Literary Magazine) at Roger Williams College. The journal was published twice a year until 1998.

The 1977 issue of Reflections is sponsored by Sigma Tau Delta (the Gamma Lamba chapter) and the Department of English at Gardner-Webb College. Wayn Blakenship, Becky Bost, Suzette Thompson, David Putnam, Barbara Wray, and Charlotte Hughes served as editors of the issue. Artistic renderings from the issue are sampled from "Scenes from the 19th Century Stage in Advertising Woodcuts" collected by Stanley Applebaum (1976).

The Grace Beacham Freeman Papers documents the development of Mrs. Freeman’s career as a writer from 1948 to the 1960s as well as her relationship with various members of her family. The collection is divided into two groups. The first, her personal files, mainly includes family and personal correspondence, biographical materials, genealogical charts and histories and other papers concerning her children. The second group, her professional files, includes Mrs. Freeman’s prose, poetry, plays and radio scripts as well as correspondence with publishers, editors and Archibald Rutledge, her friend and critic. The Huntsville Literary Association was founded in 1967 to provide a community for writers, readers, and artists through workshops, readings, and educational programs. One of their key contributions is the literary magazine titled POEM which showcases original writings from both established and emerging writers. This issue highlights the work of Jane Stuart and David Madden.
