“The Special Girl” is a story about a girl who has the gift of talking to animals. Because of this gift, her parents believe that she should not speak with children or anyone who would see her as different. One day she escapes from her bedroom and goes off into the woods where she finds a boy who is injured. She helps him by getting one of her horses to carry him to a nearby village.
