Now & Then: The Appalachian Magazine, Volume 23, Issue 01, published in 2007. The theme of this issue is Digging Appalachia (Archaeology). This issue explores the many meanings of "digging" in Appalachia, from archaeological discovery and paleontology to mining, farming, and the search for cultural roots.
