Nexus is a magazine that began as an insert in the Wright State Guardian student newspaper in 1965 and has since been published semi-regularly. It began only accepting creative writing, but has since expanded to include illustrations, photography and other non-written art forms. THE MIDWEST QUARTERLY regretfully announces the resignation from its editorial board of Professor ROBERT BLUNK, whose increasing responsibilities as a teacher in the Art Department of Kansas State College, a consultant on numerous art projects, a member of the Kansas Cultural Arts Commission, and a practicing artist have left him, as he feels, with too little time for editorial duties which are growing increasingly heavy themselves. His successor has not yet been discovered.

WRAPPING UP a decade of academic publication is no difficult chore, especially since generous, gracious, and for the most part patient contributors have been prodigal in showering us with material-articles, poems, and reviews-for the past six or seven years. The Designer's News was a student-run weekly newspaper published in the late 1960s. The issue of May 19-25, 1969 featured an article about the RISD Landscape Architecture department's study to save Block Island, RI. There also was an interview with John Torres about summer programs at RISD and at a school in Vermont, and an article about a RISD photo student who taught local pre-teens about photography. Also included was an article about the Rhode Island Art Festival and some RISD students who were volunteering their time to help.
