These are two saka, songs composed for a secret lover (hina) in traditional Sikaiana society. I know that one was collected from Fane Telena, the other I found in my notes.

These are transcriptions of several tani or funeral dirges. Tani are composed after a person dies. I do not have a record of who gave me the transcriptions, most likely John Kilatu and/or Reuben Tenai. I do not have recordings for these songs.

The two plays of Calderón that were set to music in their entirety have a number of common characteristics beyond those associated with the mythological plays as a whole. Both of the plays were performed in 1660, La púrpura de la rosa on January 17 to celebrate the marriage of the Infanta María Teresa to Louis XIV of France, and Celos aun del aire matan on December 5 to celebrate the third birthday of the Infante Felipe Próspero. Music educator have constantly searched for more effective ways to teach their subject. In the past thirty years, several philosophies and methods of music education have had considerable influence on the music curricula in American schools. An examination of one one of these methods, the Kodaly method, will be the focus of this paper. Zoltan Kodaly, a Hungarian composer and educator, believed that the voice was nature's first instrument and that only though its correct utilization could a child develop correctly in all other aspects of music. A symphonic piece for string orchestra. the first and second movements were composed in 1977 and the third movement and refashioning of the piece was completed in 1981. The accompanying audio recording is performed by the Russian String Orchestra in 2021, conducted by Misha Rachlevsky, Score is 27 pages and recording is 13:20 minutes.

When the Handel Oratorio Society gave the Messiah December 12, 13, 14th 1980 in Centennial Hall, Rock Island, Illinois it completed one hundred years of oratorio singing at Augustana College. Part I recounts the origin, difficulties, and development of the organization which began as the Augustana Handel Oratorio Society, divided the field with the Conservatory Choir, and reunited as the Handel Oratorio Society. Part II attempts to give a complete list of the programs, 1881-1980, with names of participants and dates and places of each performance.
