This study describes the changes in the dramaturgy of sandiwara, a folk theater in West Sumatra. The research was carried out using a combined research method: literary studies and artistic methods, through a project of making play scripts and dramaturgical worksheets. Research data was collected through Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and individual interviews. The results of the qualitative analysis show that writing a play script can build a play’s creative ethos in sandiwara, bring up the quality, and originality of the ideas and themes. For tourism in Rattanakosin Island, Bangkok, tourists can recognize the prominent identity of arts and cultural arts in the area and communities through received experiences. Hotel uniforms in Rattanakosin Island, Bangkok, were created from the prominent artistic patterns for identity recognition which directly affected the aesthetic image of Bangkok. This article aimed to find Rattanakosin's artistic styles and patterns that promote the Thai identity of hotel uniforms in Bangkok. Both qualitative and quantitative research was used. This paper aims to present Khaen melodies (an Isan musical instrument) by analyzing the original notes and arranging them for piano, using Western music composition theory to adapt the notes to suit beginner-level piano players. Based on qualitative research and creative music research, the creative process emphasizes preserving the original accents and primary melodies of the Khaen. Additionally, it develops the musical structure and harmonies to align with contemporary Western classical music. This study explores the implication and application of art education to enhance cognition through aesthetic development via a systematic literature review. Articles published from 2018 to 2023 were gathered from Scopus, Academic Search Ultimate, JSTOR, ScienceDirect, and SpringerLink. Initial keywords inquiries, “aesthetic” and “cognition” were 2,553 articles. After applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, 12 articles remained for review. Findings indicate aesthetic is a form of cognition, that combines emotions and senses. Aesthetic and cognition can arise and develop at any age. A person’s level of personal aesthetic development increases with age and experience, varying among individuals. Some research found that …

This article presents an overview of Roman citizens registered in the small Attic deme of Besa. The epigraphic record indicates that three Roman emperors—Hadrian, Commodus and Severus Alexander—were enrolled as citizens in this deme, as was the influential eastern magnate G. Julius Antiochus Epiphanes Philopappos and several men who dominated Athenian politics during the High Imperial period. We argue that Hadrian's enrolment and repeated sojourns in Athens encouraged various individuals—including two of his successors—to join this deme, but why did the emperor himself choose Besa and not a larger, more important deme in the city's civic centre? Disability poetics resist marginalisation by centralising disabled words and experiences, both literally and figuratively. In a world that prioritises ability, disabled bodyminds are marked as deviant from norms and conventions. Disabled poets have the opportunity to resist the normalised ‘body’ of the poem on the page. Conventions, rules, and norms can shape poetry – not just rhyme and metre, but line breaks, line arrangements, and limiting poems to the written linguistic mode. Forced by family circumstances to abandon his samurai status, Takizawa Bakin (1767-1848) found his niche in life as a writer of popular fiction, eventually becoming the most prolific author of works in the yomihon genre, which consisted largely of historical romances. His dream of eventually restoring his family to its hereditary status is reflected in many of his works, beginning especially with Chinsetsu Yumiharizuki (Strange Tales of the Crescent Moon), a novel appearing serially in sixty-eight chapters between 1807 and 1811 whose hero, the historical Minamoto no Tametomo (1139-1170), is drawn from a variety of sources, both standard …

Several studies have noted that humanists have not been as quick or enthusiastic in their adoption of Open Access (OA) as their colleagues in other disciplines. This article leverages the Ithaka S+R US 2021 Faculty Survey to provide contextualized analysis of the OA and Open Education Resources (OER) preferences of humanities scholars, as well as some practices related to OA and OER, relative to their colleagues in other disciplines. Findings suggest that although humanists do stand apart in many OA preferences, the small effect sizes render these differences less important than previously suspected. This study combines narrative inquiry with Third World feminism to bring a nuanced and scopic perspective of Third World women student experiences in US higher education. Specifically, it utilises Talpade Mohanty's concept of Third World womanhood to visibilise the experiences of five Third World international female students. Understanding womanhood as transnationally fluid and contextual, I investigate how women international students from the Third World perceive themselves to be misrepresented or homogenised in Western higher education. This study investigates the perceived values of AI-designed clothing (quality, emotion, ease) and their impact on willingness to pay (WTP) and word-of-mouth (WOM), with the moderating effect of gender differences. A total of 314 respondents completed the survey via MTurk. Participants watched a video clip demonstrating how an AI system creates various clothing designs by altering garment elements (e.g., style, size). After watching the video clip, they were asked to answer a series of questions about the AI-designed clothing and themselves. The collected data were analyzed using AMOS 26.0. Climate change is having profound impacts on communities around the world. In some cases, and with time, more and more, the impacts of climate change are happening on a level that constitutes genocide. Raphaël Lemkin’s and Claudia Card’s definitions of genocide are most applicable to climate change as they have broader understandings of victim groups and social death, and they recognize that inaction to prevent reasonably foreseeable harm constitutes genocidal intent. งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษากระบวนการกำกับการแสดงละครเวทีตามแนวทางของละครประเภทโศกนาฏกรรมจำอวด (Tragic Farce) ผ่านกรณีศึกษาการกำกับการแสดงละครเวทีเรื่อง เดอะ เมดส์ (The Maids) ของ ฌอง เฌอเนต์ โดยมุ่งหมายในการถ่ายทอดประเด็น “การหลีกหนีความเป็นจริง” (Escapism) อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ภายใต้กรอบแนวคิดเชิงจิตวิทยาที่อ้างอิงจากทฤษฎีจิตวิเคราะห์ของซิกมันด์ ฟรอยด์ โดยเฉพาะแนวคิดเรื่องกลไกการป้องกันตนเอง (Defense Mechanisms) ผู้วิจัยในฐานะผู้กำกับการแสดงได้ออกแบบและดำเนินกระบวนการวิจัยเชิงสร้างสรรค์ ซึ่งประกอบด้วยการตีความบทละคร การพัฒนาแนวทางการกำกับการแสดงที่บูรณาการองค์ประกอบของโศกนาฏกรรมกับลักษณะตลกร้ายของละครจำอวด การฝึกซ้อมกับนักแสดง การออกแบบองค์ประกอบศิลป์ และการจัดการแสดงต่อผู้ชมจริง รวมถึงการเก็บข้อมูลปฏิกิริยาของผู้ชมจำนวน 325 คน โดยอาศัยทั้งวิธีการเชิงปริมาณและเชิงคุณภาพ ผลการศึกษาชี้ให้เห็นว่าผู้ชมส่วนใหญ่สามารถรับรู้และเข้าใจสาระสำคัญของประเด็น “การหลีกหนีความเป็นจริง” ได้อย่างชัดเจน และมีปฏิกิริยาทางอารมณ์ที่สะท้อนถึงการเข้าถึงแก่นสารของบทละคร การกำกับการแสดงตามแนวทางโศกนาฏกรรมจำอวดช่วยลดทอนภาวะตึงเครียดของผู้ชมลง ขณะเดียวกันยังสามารถคงไว้ซึ่งความเข้มข้นทางความหมายและพลังของสารที่ต้องการสื่อ ผลการวิจัยยืนยันว่าการกำกับการแสดงละครเวทีโดยผสานแนวคิดทางจิตวิทยาเข้ากับรูปแบบโศกนาฏกรรมจำอวดสามารถเป็นแนวทางที่ทรงประสิทธิภาพในการสื่อสารประเด็นทางจิตใจที่ซับซ้อนในบริบทร่วมสมัย และส่งเสริมให้เกิดการใคร่ครวญตนเองในหมู่ผู้ชมได้อย่างลุ่มลึก

วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาเนื้อหาและกลวิธีทางวรรณศิลป์ในงานเขียนเกี่ยวกับศิลปวัฒนธรรมในวรรณกรรมชุด ผสมผสาน ของพระราชวรวงศ์เธอ กรมหมื่นพิทยาลงกรณ จำนวน 58 เรื่อง ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่เคยตีพิมพ์ในหนังสือพิมพ์ประมวญมารค หนังสือพิมพ์ประมวญสาร และหนังสือพิมพ์ประมวญวัน ระหว่างพ.ศ. 2476-2482 ส่วนใหญ่นำเสนอในรูปแบบบทความ มีเพียง 1 เรื่องที่นำเสนอในรูปแบบร้อยกรอง ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ศิลปวัฒนธรรมที่ทรงนำเสนอในงานเขียนกลุ่มนี้มี 6 ประเภท ได้แก่ ภาษา วรรณคดี การละเล่นและ การแสดง ศาสนาและความเชื่อ ประเพณีและพิธี และวัฒนธรรมหนังสือและการอ่านหนังสือ เนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับศิลปวัฒนธรรมที่นำเสนอใน งานเขียนกลุ่มนี้จำแนกได้ 3 กลุ่ม ได้แก่ เนื้อหาให้ความรู้เกี่ยวกับศิลปวัฒนธรรม ทั้งความรู้ศิลปวัฒนธรรมไทย ความรู้ศิลปวัฒนธรรมต่างประเทศ และความรู้ศิลปวัฒนธรรมที่ทรงเสนอหรือทรงคิดขึ้นใหม่ เนื้อหาแสดงทัศนะเกี่ยวกับศิลปวัฒนธรรม ประกอบด้วยทัศนะเกี่ยวกับ ความเปลี่ยนแปลงทางศิลปวัฒนธรรม และทัศนะเกี่ยวกับปัญหาทางศิลปวัฒนธรรม และเนื้อหาวิจารณ์ผลงานศิลปวัฒนธรรมโดยตรง ได้แก่ บทวิจารณ์วรรณคดีไทย และบทวิจารณ์ศิลปะการแสดง การนำเสนอเนื้อหาทั้ง 3 กลุ่มดังกล่าวนี้สัมพันธ์กับบริบททางสังคมวัฒนธรรมในช่วงรัชกาลที่ 7-8 ทั้งอิทธิพลตะวันตกที่แผ่ขยายเข้ามาเข้มข้นขึ้น การเปลี่ยนแปลงการปกครอง พ.ศ. 2475 และความเปลี่ยนแปลงทางศิลปวัฒนธรรมที่เกิดขึ้นต่อเนื่องมาตั้งแต่สมัยก่อนหน้านี้ เนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับศิลปวัฒนธรรมดังกล่าว นำเสนอโดยใช้กลวิธีทางวรรณศิลป์หลายลักษณะ กลวิธีทางวรรณศิลป์ที่พบร่วมกันใน การนำเสนอเนื้อหาทั้ง 3 กลุ่ม ได้แก่ การตั้งชื่อเรื่องอย่างตรงไปตรงมา การใช้ภาพพจน์ และการสร้างความขบขัน กลวิธีที่พบร่วมกันในเนื้อหาแสดงทัศนะเกี่ยวกับศิลปวัฒนธรรมและเนื้อหาวิจารณ์ผลงานศิลปวัฒนธรรมโดยตรง ได้แก่ การสร้างคำศัพท์ใหม่และการใช้คำทับศัพท์ ส่วนกลวิธีทางวรรณศิลป์ที่สัมพันธ์กับเนื้อหาแต่ละกลุ่มพบว่า กลวิธีที่พบในเนื้อหาให้ความรู้เกี่ยวกับศิลปวัฒนธรรม ได้แก่ การตั้งชื่อเรื่องเพื่อลวงความคิดผู้อ่านและการอธิบาย กลวิธีที่พบในเนื้อหาแสดงทัศนะเกี่ยวกับศิลปวัฒนธรรม ได้แก่ การตั้งชื่อเรื่องเพื่อให้ผู้อ่านเกิดความสงสัย ใคร่รู้ การอ้างถึง การเปรียบเทียบศิลปวัฒนธรรมของไทยกับต่างประเทศ การเปรียบเทียบศิลปวัฒนธรรมในอดีตกับปัจจุบัน การให้รายละเอียดเพื่อแสดงทัศนะทางอ้อม การสรรคำ และการเล่นกับสำนวน ส่วนกลวิธีที่พบในเนื้อหาวิจารณ์ผลงานศิลปวัฒนธรรมโดยตรง ได้แก่ การยกตัวบทหรือยกเหตุการณ์มาวิจารณ์ งานเขียนเกี่ยวกับศิลปวัฒนธรรมในวรรณกรรมชุด ผสมผสาน แสดงให้เห็นถึงความรอบรู้ทางศิลปวัฒนธรรมและความเป็น นักหนังสือพิมพ์ของพระราชวรวงศ์เธอ กรมหมื่นพิทยาลงกรณ ที่ทรงสร้างสรรค์งานเขียนที่ทันยุคทันเหตุการณ์และนำเสนออย่างมีชั้นเชิงเพื่อจรรโลงสติปัญญาของผู้อ่านท่ามกลางบริบทความเปลี่ยนแปลงของศิลปวัฒนธรรมในยุคสมัยนั้น

งานวิจัยนี้มุ่งศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างภาษากับภาพตัวแทนแรงงานต่างด้าวในวาทกรรมข่าวภาษาไทย เนื่องจากผู้วิจัยเล็งเห็นว่าแรงงานต่างด้าวเป็นกลุ่มผู้ใช้แรงงานที่มีอยู่จำนวนมากและเป็นกำลังแรงงานสำคัญที่สร้างคุณประโยชน์ให้แก่ประเทศไทย แต่ทว่าแรงงานต่างด้าวในประเทศไทยกลับตกอยู่ในสถานะคนอื่น เป็นคนชายขอบที่ไม่ได้รับการยอมรับ แรงงานต่างด้าวไม่ได้รับการดูแลเอาใจใส่ ถูกเอารัดเอาเปรียบ ถูกปฏิบัติด้วยอย่างไม่เป็นธรรมไร้ความเท่าเทียม และมักถูกเข้าใจผิดหรือเชื่ออย่างเหมารวมว่าพวกเขาเหล่านี้คือกลุ่มคนไม่พึงประสงค์ ผู้วิจัยเชื่อว่าปรากฏการณ์ดังกล่าวอาจเป็นผลมาจากการนำเสนอภาพตัวแทนของวาทกรรมข่าว งานวิจัยชิ้นนี้จึงมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อวิเคราะห์ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างภาษากับภาพตัวแทนแรงงานต่างด้าวในวาทกรรมข่าวภาษาไทย โดยผู้วิจัยเลือกวิเคราะห์ตัวบทรายงานข่าว 3 สื่อ ซึ่งเป็นสื่อหลักที่นำเสนอข่าวเกี่ยวกับแรงงานต่างด้าวในประเทศไทย ได้แก่ ตัวบทสื่อหนังสือพิมพ์ ตัวบทสื่อภาครัฐ และตัวบทสื่อกลุ่มแรงงาน โดยผู้วิจัยเลือกเก็บข้อมูลรายงานข่าวแรงงานต่างด้าวในช่วงปีพ.ศ. 2557 – 2563 เนื่องจากช่วงเวลาดังกล่าวเกิดเหตุการณ์สำคัญเกี่ยวกับแรงงานต่างด้าว ทั้งนี้ผู้วิจัยใช้กรอบแนวคิดหลักในการศึกษาคือวาทกรรมวิเคราะห์เชิงวิพากษ์ ผลการวิเคราะห์ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างภาษากับภาพตัวแทนแรงงานต่างด้าวพบว่า รายงานข่าวเกี่ยวกับแรงงานต่างด้าวในสื่อทั้งสามตัวบท ประกอบสร้างหรือสื่อภาพตัวแทนแรงงานต่างด้าวหลายแง่มุม มีทั้งใกล้เคียงและแตกต่างหรือตรงกันข้ามกันอย่างสิ้นเชิง และที่สำคัญภาพตัวแทนที่นำเสนอในสื่อทั้งสามตัวบทมีลักษณะของความเด่นชัดแตกต่างกัน กลวิธีทางภาษาสำคัญที่พบ อาทิ 1. การอ้างถึงแรงงานต่างด้าว 2. การอ้างถึงภาครัฐและเจ้าหน้าที่รัฐฝ่ายไทย 3. การใช้ชนิดกระบวนการเกี่ยวกับการกระทำ 4. การใช้ชนิดกระบวนการเกี่ยวกับการพูด 5.การใช้ชนิดกระบวนการเกี่ยวกับสภาพ 6. การใช้สหบท 7. การใช้ทัศนภาวะ 8. การใช้รูปภาษานำเสนอเนื้อหาแสดงสาเหตุและผลของการกระทำที่เกิดขึ้น 9. การใช้มูลบท 10.การปฏิเสธมูลบท 11.การเลือกใช้ชุดคำศัพท์ร่วมกันจำนวนมาก และ 12. การใช้อุปลักษณ์ ภาพตัวแทนแรงงานต่างด้าวที่ปรากฏ ได้แก่ สื่อหนังสือพิมพ์ นำเสนอภาพตัวแทนแรงงานต่างด้าวเป็น “กลุ่มคนลักลอบเข้าเมืองผิดกฎหมาย กลุ่มคนโหดเหี้ยมฯ ปัญหา โรคระบาด และคนนอื่น” สื่อภาครัฐนำเสนอภาพตัวแทนแรงงานต่างด้าวเป็น “ปัญหา คนอื่น กลุ่มคนที่ได้รับการดูแลคุ้มครองสิทธิอย่างดี และเป็นกลุ่มคนผิดกฎหมาย” ในขณะเดียวกัน สื่อกลุ่มแรงงานนำเสนอภาพตัวแทนแรงงานต่างด้าวด้วยแง่มุมที่แตกต่างและตรงกันข้ามจากสื่อทั้งสองก่อนหน้าอย่างชัดเจน คือ นำเสนอภาพตัวแทนแรงงานต่างด้าวเป็น “กลุ่มคนที่ได้รับความเดือดร้อน แรงงานสำคัญ กลุ่มคนหาเลี้ยงชีพ และกลุ่มคนถูกกฎหมาย” ภาพตัวแทนแรงงานต่างด้าวที่ปรากฏจากทั้งสามสื่อชี้ให้เห็นว่าสื่อหนังสือพิมพ์และสื่อภาครัฐเลือกเน้นนำเสนอแง่มุมเชิงลบเกี่ยวกับแรงงานต่างด้าว ในขณะที่สื่อกลุ่มแรงงานให้ความสำคัญต่อการนำแง่มุมเชิงบวกและด้านที่น่าสงสารของแรงงานต่างด้าว ผลการวิเคราะห์วิถีปฏิบัติทางวาทกรรมพบว่าภาพตัวแทนแรงงานต่างด้าวที่นำเสนอนั้นมีความสัมพันธ์กับวัตถุประสงค์ของผู้ผลิตตัวบทที่แตกต่างกัน ได้แก่ สื่อหนังสือพิมพ์ผลิตตัวบทรายงานข่าวเพื่อมุ่งเร้าความสนใจของคนในสังคมเพื่อขายข่าวและเป็นเหตุผลเชิงธุรกิจ สื่อภาครัฐมุ่งนำเสนอข่าวเพื่อประชาสัมพันธ์ภาพการทำงานของตน ต้องการสร้างเสริมภาพลักษณ์เชิงบวก และสร้างความชอบธรรมให้แก่การดำเนินงานของรัฐ ส่วนสื่อกลุ่มแรงงานมีวัตถุประสงค์ในการนำเสนอข่าวเพื่อรณรงค์เรียกร้องให้เกิดการช่วยเหลือ คุ้มครองสิทธิแรงงานต่างด้าว การนำเสนอข่าวด้วยวัตถุประสงค์ประสงค์ที่แตกต่างกัน ประกอบกับการตัดสินคุณค่าเชิงข่าวที่แต่ละสื่อของประเมินค่า ตัดสินคุณค่าของประเด็นข่าวเกี่ยวกับแรงงานต่างด้าวด้วยแง่มุมที่ต่างกัน ปรากฏการณ์ดังกล่าวมีผลอย่างยิ่งต่อการประกอบสร้างภาพตัวแทนแรงงานต่างด้าวในตัวบทรายงานข่าวทั้งสามสื่อ อย่างไรก็ตามตัวบทสื่อกลุ่มแรงงานที่ดูเหมือนจะนำเสนอข่าวเพื่อเอื้อประโยชน์แก่กลุ่มแรงงานต่างด้าวมากที่สุด แต่กลับเป็นสื่อมวลชนที่มีอิทธิพลน้อยสุดเพราะไม่สามารถแพร่กระจายสู่ผู้อ่านซึ่งเป็นคนในสังคมไทยได้เป็นวงกว้าง ผลการวิเคราะห์วิถีปฏิบัติทางสังคมวัฒนธรรมพบว่าปัจจัยทางสังคมมีอิทธิพลต่อการผลิตตัวบทและมีผลต่อการประกอบสร้างความหมายหรือภาพตัวแทนแรงงานต่างด้าว ได้แก่ นโยบายการบริหารจัดการของรัฐบาล การมีอยู่ของแรงงานต่างด้าวในประเทศไทยจำนวนมาก อุดมการณ์ชาตินิยม แนวคิดเรื่องสิทธิมนุษยชน และการพยายามขายข่าวของสื่อหนังสือพิมพ์เพื่อเอาตัวรอดในยุคดิจิทัล นอกจากนี้การผลิตนำเสนอวาทกรรมและภาพตัวแทนยังส่งผลกระทบต่อสังคมด้วย ได้แก่ …
