Using animals in food and food production systems is one of many drivers of novel zoonoses. Moving toward less dependence on animal proteins is a possible avenue for reducing pandemic risk, but we think that Wiebers & Feigin’s proposed change to food policy (phasing out animal meat production) is unrealistic in its political achievability and its current capacity to feed the world in a cost-effective and sustainable manner. We suggest that improvements in communication strategies, precipitated by developments in computational cognitive neuroscience, can lead the way to a safer future and are feasible now.

Rewilding is a psychological and sociocultural event for nonhuman animals that goes beyond the traditional framework of ecology. Elephants need to be seen as political agents in a collaboration. Invertebrate animals are frequently lumped into a single category and denied welfare protections despite their considerable cognitive, behavioral, and evolutionary diversity. Some ethical and policy inroads have been made for cephalopod molluscs and crustaceans, but the vast majority of arthropods, including the insects, remain excluded from moral consideration. We argue that this exclusion is unwarranted given the existing evidence. Anachronistic readings of evolution, which view invertebrates as lower in the scala naturae, continue to influence public policy and common morality. Welfare protections for vertebrates are grounded in the belief that vertebrates are sentient and capable of feeling whereas invertebrates are not. We agree with Mikhalevich & Powell that the exclusion of small-brained invertebrates from bioethics is not warranted by the current state of the scientific evidence. The choice to promote protection for certain invertebrates should be based on the Animal Sentience Precautionary Principle (ASPP). This principle should not prevent us from conducting experimental research with non-human animals to advance knowledge. This dissertation aims to bring to light the music of Johann Melchior Gletle (1626-1683); a Swiss-German composer who lived the majority of his life working as the organist and Kapellmeister of Augsburg Cathedral. The primary focus of this dissertation is a single volume of music composed by Gletle in 1668: the Expeditionis Musicae Classis II, Op. 2. Consisting of thirty-six vesper psalms, it is conjectured that this publication was a form of ‘functional music’ intended for liturgical performance at Augsburg Cathedral. Popular music often refers to, evokes and includes elements of other music from the past. This kind of intertextuality in popular music provides artists and audiences with short-cuts to making and interpreting meaning. It draws on nostalgia, past listening experiences and idealised perceptions of the past. Artists engaging in this practice risk criticism for being too derivative. Conversely, artists who are too innovative and forward-looking run the risk of not connecting to listeners. So why is grammar an unsung hero that rarely receives acknowledgement? And why do the first two sentences of this abstract start with coordinating conjunctions? This thesis will explore elastic grammar: a term I coined to recognise style devices that are traditionally thought of as grammatically incorrect but are used to create a deeper level of meaning within fiction. The analysis of the elasticity of grammar will be conducted through close readings of three children’s books and three elastic grammar devices. The genetic disorder is caused by the absence of dystrophin protein which helps to keep muscle cells together, the absence of this protein causes muscles to become weak and fragile. The hope and history debate in twentieth century Catholic theology concerned to what extent the object(s) of eschatological hope could be realised within history. Its context was the ‘secularisation of Christian eschatology’. On the one hand, Joseph Ratzinger, who was indebted to the philosophical work of Josef Pieper, considered hope’s object to belong to the realm of gift. Phenomenon: Reproductive justice (RJ) is defined by women of color advocates as the right to have children, not have children and parent children while maintaining reproductive autonomy. In the United States, physicians have been complicit in multiple historical reproductive injustices, involving coercive sterilization of thousands of people of color, low income, and disabilities. Currently, reproductive injustices continue to occur; however, physicians have no formal RJ medical education to address injustices. 西方漢學家對於中國典籍的研究在19世紀末20世紀初開始，當時西方漢學越發興盛，中國古典翻譯與解讀成爲焦點。其中，楚辭作爲辭賦之祖，以其獨特的魅力得到了學者的青睞，西方漢學家對於楚辭的研究主要有幾個方面：文本分析、文化探源和文獻考據。

英國漢學家，亞瑟‧韋利（Arthur Waley, 1889-1966）與大衛‧霍克斯（David Hawkes, 1923- 2009）先後對《楚辭》進行了深入的研究，他們采取的主要方向就是文化探源。《楚辭》在戰國楚地發源，當時巫風盛行，不少西方學者都從宗教文化的角度對其進行研究，韋利和霍克斯亦在此列。兩人的著作為海外楚辭學提供了完善的譯本，後世不少漢學家皆采用霍克斯的英譯本作研究，推動了海外楚辭學的整體發展。

然而，國内對於海外楚辭學的研究甚少，中國楚辭學專著似乎也較少提及兩位，在中國知網搜索「海外楚辭」，只出現了8條相關結果，可見前人對於海外楚辭學的研究仍有不足。中國與西方的學術環境不一，學者所采用的研究角度和方法也有很大區別，單以《楚辭》研究而言，中國學者更擅長站在中國文學史的角度，對《楚辭》的淵源以及對中國文學所帶來的影響進行研究，而歐美學界，以韋利和霍克斯為例，更熱衷於探尋《楚辭》中蘊含的文化和中國特色，並從宗教文化的角度對其進行剖析，他們對《楚辭》的認識明顯與中國學者有差異之處。

有見及此，本文透過解讀韋利和霍克斯的著作，針對其中對於《楚辭九歌》的性質、篇數和作者等問題，與中國現有楚辭學的學説，比較兩者異同，找出西方學者一些值得借鑒的觀點和想法，希望能為中國的《九歌》研究提供新的啓發。

從「僧」到「仙」的濟公 : 《濟公全傳》的濟公信仰及其形象, Ka Yee Wong

本文主要研究濟公信仰核心和其真正形象。過往論文中，學者普遍把濟公信仰簡單說明如何配合民眾的心理，並將濟公歸入佛門之內。本文主要目的正是再深入地分析濟公信仰的體系，梳理濟公對不同方面的價值觀。正文當中，會詳細分辨出民間信仰的特色，與濟公信仰互通的地方。本文以清代郭小亭的《濟公全傳》為研究中心，探討濟公信仰的民間屬性、意義和意涵。本文將會分為五部份：第一章為引言。第二章主要分析民間信仰與《濟公全傳》呈現的濟公信仰，從而梳理出來濟公信仰的特點和體系。第三章濟公僧人和神仙色彩的成份，剖析濟公出現由僧轉仙的轉化原因。第四章是全文總結。

論歐陽修詞作中的道家情懷, Kei Yiu Ng

歐陽修（1007-1072），宋代文學、史學以及政治家。在政治上，他積極參與范仲淹的慶曆變法；在史學上，他為《新唐書》及《新五代史》的著者，被納入廿四部正史當中；在文學上，他是其中一位古文運動的推手，亦有不少出色的詩作。如此種種可證他是一位入世的儒士，為國家、天下、人民著想，亦著書立說，實為傳統士人所追求的「立言」之舉。

正正因為歐陽修積極入世，有著為國家貢獻的遠大志向，時人大多忽略了他精神結構中逍遙出世的一面。事實上，歐陽修的仕途亦非完全順遂，他亦曾被貶及受冤，但他卻未有灰心喪志，反倒在晚年寫出自然閑逸、精神逍遙的《采桑子》組詞，可見他的精神結構中有著入世和出世的內在平衡；另一方面，他的詞作亦較被忽略，時人大多只著重他的婉約詞，亦把他歸作婉約派的詞人，忽略了他在詞作中對自然以及精神調解之書寫。

自然對歐陽修的意義實記於《梅聖俞詩集序》當中：「凡士之蘊其所有，而不得施於世者，多喜自放於山巔水涯之外。」說明了士人若不能把才智發揮於世，他們自然就會把心思置於山水之中，令自己的精神得以排解。而作為一個在政治上有志未能抒的士人，歐陽修正正如自己所言，把精神寄托在山水之中，並藉此作精神提昇。

本文將著重分析他在自然詞作中所展示的自然灑脫以及精神飄逸，並以此與道家情懷作觀照，探討他如何在詞作當中體現自我的精神超脫。同時，亦將分析他如何平衡精神中的入世及出世情懷，令自己即便受盡打壓仍可悠然處於入世之中，當一個出色的士人、地方官以外，精神又可與自然契合。

古典文學中的宋詞按詞牌（樂曲）填上歌詞，在民間流行，現代的流行音樂同樣是填詞人按樂譜填詞，流行於現代的各大媒體。流行音樂也可以是流行文學的一種，反映着流行文化和社會的某些事情。

林夕是香港著名填詞人，是在香港作品產量最多的填詞人，有「詞神」之稱。有人曾研究林夕作詞的歷史旅程、歌詞的風格、歌詞中的象徵、個別作品的分析、又或分析林夕歌詞對香港流行文化的貢獻等，但卻鮮見把林夕有關香港社會的詞作組織和歸納的分析。

本文就林夕有關香港社會的歌詞作分類，歸納林夕關注的香港事件，再以文本細讀的方式分析作品，了解林夕眼中的香港社會。林夕眼中的香港其實充滿各種社會問題，但他又樂於揭露這些社會問題，因為他認為多元的聲音能引起更多的討論，為社會帶來新的東西，他希望以他的歌詞引起大眾思考，因此即使他的作品描述了不少香港社會問題，仍可見他對香港的熱愛。

論《燒失樂園》的性權利與話語權兼談文學改編, Man Ping So

電影《燒失樂園》是韓國導演李滄東近年的作品。此電影為跨文化改編的力作，以兩部文學作品──日本村上春樹的〈燒掉柴房〉和美國福克納（William Faulkner）的《Barn Burning》作改編，改為韓國的文化語景，從而探討韓國年輕人正面對的社會問題，為何會遇到種種困局，卻無力改變。

本文著重分析電影《燒失樂園》如何呈現韓國社會的性權利和不同地位的年輕人的話語權。首先會簡述李滄東導演的背景、其電影特色和《燒失樂園》的故事。再以韓國的歷史背景作引入，解釋性權利和話語權的觀念。遂後分別以電影裡的三個主要角色李鐘秀、申海美和Ben作出發點，分析在他們身上的特質如何體現了韓國社會的性權利與話語權的情況，查看韓國年輕人正面對的社會問題，兼談當中的文學作品如何影響電影文本的塑造。

隨碧城之筆，觀香城之昔 : 淺析《碧城樂府》中的香港情懷, Ka Yee Tsang

提及香港文學，浮現在腦海中的大多是香港現代電影、戲劇、小說、散文等，的確，這些文學種類在現代化的大環境下較受一眾讀者追捧，其內容、主題和寫作模式多會隨著讀者的閱讀興趣和近代文學潮流而改變，顯得較為貼合現代社會，能夠帶給讀者共鳴及深刻體會，淺白通俗的文字也彷彿使文學變得更平易近人。相較之下，中國文學四大類別之一的詩詞則顯得較為失色。

在不少現代人眼中，詩詞的創作形式較為死板，著重用字、平仄、押韻、對偶、引用、用典等創作準則，且主題上多數圍繞著懷古諷今、感慨時光易逝、哀歎懷才不遇、描繪湖光山色等創作，難以為現代人帶來新鮮感和共鳴。加上香港過往長期被冠以「文化沙漠」之名，久而久之，連香港人也相信了「香港沒有文學」這個說法，因而放棄了探討香港的文學史及發掘香港的文化價值。綜觀現今香港文學界，創作小說、散文、戲劇的作家比比皆是，唯獨是詩詞作家，在香港文壇中已成為稀有的存在。上至《詩經》，下至現代新詩，詩歌在香港文壇上不僅被好好承傳下來，甚至作出了創新，縱使詩人較少，他們仍堅持著創作。但詞在香港文壇可謂愈發罕見，大部分人甚至連香港本土詞作也未曾聽聞過，更遑論承傳及創新了。

實際上，半個多世紀以前，香港曾有一眾熱衷於詞學的文人組織了一個盛極一時的詞社「堅社」，他們不斷研究及創作，互相吸收寫作經驗，互相給予改進意見，他們創作出不少優美動人的詞作供後世傳頌，為詞學在香港文學史上寫下重要的一頁，亦填補了香港文學對詞學研究之空白。其中一名詞人為林汝珩，他的大部分作品在其仙逝後才得以面世，後人從其詞作、書信和文字記載中得知五十年代香港文學的狀況、堅社的起源和發展以及眾多從沒面世的珍貴詞作，為香港文學研究提供了珍貴的資源。林汝珩的詞作用字優美自然、感情真摯，詞中不僅記載了他的個人經歷，還記載了五十年代香港的風貌。本文旨在集中討論香港詞學的發展、堅社對香港詞壇的貢獻以及透過林汝珩的作品觀香港昔日之面貌。

香港的暴動文學書寫 : 論陳浩基《13．67》的敘事佈局和當代意義, Yuk Yi Chiu

六七暴動是香港歷史發展的轉捩點，在香港史中有著重要地位，不少香港文化課題的研究都能找到六七暴動的蹤影。而文學創作方面，作家陳浩基的推理小說《13‧67》將社會事件串連起來，組成由1967年至2013年的香港時間線，透過文學的藝術形式呈現歷史。筆者認為，主角的成長突顯了警隊的精神公義，獨特的故事結構形成的社會循環更呼應了當下香港狀況，對反思暴動困境和問題具有研究意義。

本論文分為四個部分：第一章為緒論，指出六七暴動對香港社會的影響，引出香港作家陳浩基透過流行文學記錄暴動歷史，及其作品《13‧67》的簡介。第二章是分析小說的敘事結構，探討反向年代記的佈局如何呈現香港時代變遷，並以推理流派角度分析小說將本格派和社會派融合的寫作特色。第三章將討論小說的時代意義，詳細探討小說中的警察使命和社會公義主題如何連接當今香港發生的社會運動。最後第四章為結論，總結故事情節與社會現實狀況的異同，歸納出文學與社會的關係。

分析林夕歌詞中的佛家思想及其創作風格, Hing Man Yao

林夕，文字工作者，亦為當代香港著名填詞人，填詞作品超過三千首，填有不少膾炙人口的作品。林夕信佛，在其歌詞中不難發現有佛理的蹤影。一直以來學界對於歌詞的研究不多，關於林夕詞作的研究，尤其針對其佛理歌詞作研究更是寥寥可數。因此本文以林夕歌詞為主題探討其中的佛家思想及創作風格。

本文第一章為緒論，交代研究緣起、有關林夕的研究狀況以及本文研究方法。此章簡單交代歌詞的文學性，香港流行曲歌詞以及林夕的背景，用以論述研究林夕佛理歌詞的意義。第二章以香港其他著名填詞人和林夕比對，分析當中異同，從而推論林夕歌詞的創作風格，尤其佛理風格的形成。第三章承接上章，主要分析林夕三個時期（「棉裡藏針」、「大張旗鼓」、「大象無形」）的佛理歌詞帶有什麼的佛家思想內涵以及風格如何轉變。第四章是以互文性的角度論林夕如何在歌詞帶出佛家思想，並加以印證其風格層次及變化。第五章為結論，整合全文總結。

枯樹, Tsz Lok Yan

一棵枯樹生長在一片草原上，樹的四周都覆蓋著水，碰巧在一小段街燈壞了的路上，發生了一次車禍，把志樂帶到了這棵枯樹下。

志樂之所以能來到這棵枯樹下，只因為他與現實中眾人不同，他比身邊人都更沉溺於回憶中，以致別人離開，而他被遺下了。他在樹下遇上了自稱為使者的男子，使者說可以給他一次改變過去的機會，聽到此後內心躍動的志樂跟隨著使者回到自己不同的回憶中，想要改變過去，但卻使自己從前的一道陰影重現。在陰影的重現下，一切都變得比原先怪異，而那棵枯樹又能否再次長出茂盛的綠葉？

〈枯樹〉一文旨在從志樂的心理中描寫出人生道上，向前走或是向後退的掙扎與糾結，面對生活上越來越多的壓力與難題，過往美好的回憶或許會是我們的避難所，但過分沉溺於美好的回憶，又是一件何等痛苦的事？生於世上，我們也必須學會放手，並失望地前行，這樣或許可使那枯樹尚且可有一線生機。

早在幾年前，我觀看了一部日本經典電影《古都》，像是冥冥之中的緣分，將從小生活在香港這座現代化城市的我與京都那座帶有濃厚歷史文化底蘊的古都牽連在一起。我開始對京都的一切產生了強烈的興趣，無論是清水寺、東福寺、金閣寺這些擁有著千年悠長背景的歷史古蹟，還是和服紡織、清水燒、茶道、折扇等等的傳統工藝產業，我都渴望能探個究竟，感受獨特而典雅的古城魅力。終於我獲得了一個難能可貴的機會，以交換留學生的身份在京都生活數月，深入了解京都的不同面相，捕捉這裡動人心弦的美好。京都彷彿一張傳統工藝的溫床，在日新月異的現代，仍完整無缺地保留著珍貴的文化遺產，讓這些古老的珍寶能融入現代社會的血液中，經久不衰。京都的民情風俗、節令行事，都在我京都之行的白卷上填滿了繽紛亮麗的色彩，我也希望以下三篇作品能為讀者描繪出京都渾然天成的風采，帶來一絲觸動心弦的感動。

若果看過這小說，你會覺得似曾相識，莫驚，這正是你身處的社會中發生的事；若果看過這小說，你會覺得浮誇戲劇，莫笑，這就是一個畸形社會中的真人真事。你隨時是主角。

〈逆．情〉中的六篇微型小說，記錄了疫情下的六個議題：排隊、消毒、傳言、禁酒令、失業、DSE，分別由最受這些議題影響的人物帶出：普通市民、普通市民、家庭主婦、酒吧老闆、廚房佬、DSE考生。

一個一向聽話乖巧的大學畢業生，一個只想守護屬於自己的家的普通上班族，一個一言一行無一不為家庭著想的普通家庭主婦，一個支持政府的中產酒吧老闆，一個除了煮食其他一竅不通的廚師，一個希望透過DSE改變自己命運的中六學生，面對社會上發生的種種，他們會有何選擇？

本文旨在透過這六個人物的故事，勾勒出香港人在疫情下的生活面貌和困境，藉以引起讀者共鳴及反思：究竟香港人該如何在一個畸形社會掙扎求存？

郁達夫，名文，浙江富陽人，中國現代作家，早年留學日本，在文學創作的同時積極參與反帝抗日活動。作為處於新舊交替特殊時期的作家，他曾發起文學組織「創造社」，不但是新文學運動的領軍人物，而且舊學功底深厚，精通舊體詩創作。可惜，由於五四文壇一味鼓吹新文學而抑制舊文學，導致早期學者大都只留意到其新文學的成就，忽略了他在舊體詩創作方面也有斐然的成績。近年來，其舊體詩越來越受到學者關注，關於郁詩的研究也漸成風氣，可惜相關研究大都集中在詩歌的箋註上，對詩作的賞析也只局限於單首賞析，針對其組詩卻少有系統的研究。

郁達夫現存詩作571首，詩體多樣，風格多變，最受矚目的是其組詩。本論文將以郁達夫於1936至1938年間創作的組詩《毀家詩紀》（下稱《紀》）為研究對象。首先以文史互證的方法梳理郁達夫筆下的「毀家」故事及其疑點，再仔細分論《紀》所包含的不同的書寫形式，分析他選擇該等書寫形式的原因，以及該等形式如何有助他達到自己的寫作目的，如何有助加強《紀》的表達效果。

Este artigo propõe uma releitura do livro Medo e Ousadia: O cotidiano do professor, fruto de diálogos entre Paulo Freire e o educador americano Ira Shor, que tem como tema central a educação libertadora. Minha tentativa neste artigo é buscar conexões entre a formação de um educador libertador e a reflexão crítica sobre o fenômeno da disseminação de falsas notícias (tema tratado no Curso ‘Paulo Freire em tempos de fake news’ - Edição 2020).
