It's Complicated: The Impact Of Marriage Legalization Among Sexual Minority Women And Gender Diverse Individuals In The United States, Laurie Drabble, Angie Wootton, Cindy Veldhuis, Ellen Perry, Ellen Riggle, Karen Trocki, Tonda Hughes

This mixed-methods study explored perceptions of the impact of marriage legalization in all U.S.states among sexual minority women and gender diverse individuals. Survey data were collectedfrom a nonprobability sample of individuals 18 years or older who identified as lesbian, bisexual,queer, same-sex attracted or something other than exclusively heterosexual—as well asindividuals who identified as transgender or gender nonbinary (for example, genderqueer, transwoman, trans man, nonbinary, or gender non-conforming). The analytic sample included 418participants in an online survey who responded to open-ended questions about the perceivedimpact of marriage legalization. Mormon Studies Review

When J. Spencer Fluhman introduced the new Mormon Studies Review six years ago, he articulated a “guiding principle for the Review: friendship.” As Fluhman put it, “In our hope to meaningfully connect minds across space, time, and ideological and religious spectra, the Review aspires to a very Mormon ideal indeed.”1 We’d like to believe that over the last six years, the Mormon Studies Review has lived up to this aspiration, and that it has demonstrated that friendship is an excellent way to cultivate the field of critical inquiry we call Mormon studies, regardless of participants’ religious identities or institutional commitments.

Essay review of Lucasta Miller's L. E. L. : The Lost Life and Scandalous Death of Letitia Elizabeth Landon, the Celebrated “Female Byron," a landmark study of one of the most important poets of the 1820s and 1830s published by Knopf in 2019. After noting the remarkable research and important contribution to our knowledge of Landon's life and work, the review takes issue with some of the traits of popular biography found in the book, for example reaching too hard for significance, informal and imprecise language, lack of qualification when needed, distortions to make the story more exciting, etc.

In fulfillment of the requirements for the University of Northern Iowa’s Women’s and Gender Studies Applied Track Master’s Degree, this paper includes research conducted during a 200-hour internship experience with Cedar Valley Friends of the Family, consisting of three sections: a background paper, the agency report, and reflection. The research conducted for this project was done so utilizing a manual and scoring tool provided by the Vera Institute of Justice in order to measure Friends of the Family’s capacity to effectively serve survivors and clients with disabilities, as well as suggestions for short and long-term improvement.

Excavating A Monumental Stepped Stone Structure At Khirbat Ataruz: The 2016-17 Season Of Fieldwork In Field G, Chang-Ho Ji, Aaron Schade

This paper presents the results of the 2016–2017 excavations of Field G at Khirbat Ataruz, an area corresponding to the southeast slope of the site that includes a large-scale stepped stone structure. According to our preliminary assessment, the remains would have been stairs ascending the eastern side of the site, which provided an access system to the Iron IIA temple on the acropolis. At the top of the steps, we have what may at some point have been a plaza paved with flat paving stones, possibly contemporaneous with the temple on the acropolis. Field G also includes Moabite architectural remains …

These three posters were designed to bring attention to the injustices women face at the hands of men around the world every day—in terms of unequal, gender-biased laws, and inadequate protection under the law that compromises women's safety. My process is to look to everyday objects and see the irony and relationships in them and how they may be linked to ideas in a way that draws the audience's attention. Viewers have been very caught off guard by these posters.This poster series earned a Silver Award in Graphis Competitions Poster Annual 2022

I designed this poster for the annual Chalk the Block event which will hopefully take place in October of 2020, as it has the past 10 years, in downtown El Paso. For the art vendors component of the event, I organize a group of students from my 'Graphic Design 4: Typography' class at The University of Texas at El Paso. Their posters are judged and selected to be on sale in a downtown outdoor booth for the weekend event. All proceeds from the sale of the posters go directly to the student designers.

I was asked by the women of the C.L. Sonnichsen Special Collections Department of The University of Texas at El Paso Library to design this cover for El Paso Women's History Coloring Book Cover, Volume 2, A Women's Sufrage Centennial Project. The coloring book will soon be distributed to schools and libraries around the city of El Paso. During this process, I learned that the colors of the U.S. women’s suffrage movement were white, purple, and gold!
