Effects Of Musical Theater Education On The Self-Esteem Of Middle School Students, Kimberly Kokx
Effects Of Musical Theater Education On The Self-Esteem Of Middle School Students, Kimberly Kokx
CUP Ed.D. Dissertations
Musical theater combines two educational components; music and theater. These arts classes have demonstrated positive influences on student academic achievement and student self-esteem. Musical theater, however, has not been fully examined as a pathway to enhance student self-esteem. The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of musical theater education on middle school student self-esteem. Using a qualitative case study, 11 students from a private Christian school in suburban Minnesota participated in a musical theater production to measure the effects of musical theater education on their self-esteem. Likert surveys, interviews, observations, records, and artifacts were collected to determine …

Investigation In The Use Of Video Technology With Adults With Moderate Intellectual Disability, To Teach Culinary Arts Using Self- Modelling And Overt Auditory Self-Prompting In Their Own Home, Mark William Farrell
Theses, Doctoral
Investigation in the use of video technology with adults with moderate intellectual disability, to teach culinary arts using self- modelling and overt auditory selfprompting in their own home An important rationale of special education, from an adult perspective, is to support people with intellectual disability to live independently. The Government’s central policy objective for people with disabilities is contained in ‘Towards 2016’ and states that they should be supported to lead full and independent lives. This presents many challenges for adult educators in building the skill set for individuals to reach this goal, especially for people with learning difficulties and …

Florecitas Roqueras: Rock, Punk Y El Problema De Género En Hispanoamérica, Micaela Lyons
The Kennesaw Tower Undergraduate Foreign Language Research Journal

Media, Institutions And Voting: Perceptions Of Nonmetropolitan Nebraskans: 2017 Nebraska Rural Poll Results, Rebecca J. Vogt, Cheryl A. Burkhart-Kriesel, Randolph L. Cantrell, Bradley Lubben, L. J. Mcelravy, Timothy Meyer
Rural Futures Institute: Publications
Conclusion
Rural Nebraskans most trust information received from local news sources (TV and newspapers) and public sources (PBS and public radio). They least trust information from social networking sites and Internet blogs. Most rural Nebraskans are somewhat or very confident in their ability to recognize news that is made up.
Most rural Nebraskans have confidence in their local institutions (public safety agencies in their community; public schools in their community; and voting and election systems in their county). On the other hand, over one-quarter of rural Nebraskans have very little confidence in the following national institutions: U.S. House of Representatives, …

Gedichte Als Antwort Auf Den 2. Weltkrieg: Gomringers Und Jandls Konkrete Poesie In Der Nachkriegszeit, Miranda Gilgore
The Kennesaw Tower Undergraduate Foreign Language Research Journal
Theresienstadt - The "Show Camp," A Burkean Analysis, Suzanne Homsley Homsley
Theresienstadt - The "Show Camp," A Burkean Analysis, Suzanne Homsley Homsley
Theses and Dissertations
For this thesis, a rhetorical analysis of Theresienstadt, the Jewish hybrid camp and ghetto, was completed by using Kenneth Burke’s pentad. Terministic screens were identified and Burke’s definition of man was examined in relation to the inmates and others involved in key events of Theresienstadt. This analysis was done to determine if Theresienstadt was a tool of propaganda the Nazis used to convince the world mass exterminations of Jews were not being done. An interdisciplinary approach was taken, by using the works of Kenneth Burke to complete a rhetorical analysis combined with the use of historical primary and secondary sources. …

Geräusche Von Innen: Musik Und Der Kuleschow Effekt Im Film Die Wand, Brianna Bean
Geräusche Von Innen: Musik Und Der Kuleschow Effekt Im Film Die Wand, Brianna Bean
The Kennesaw Tower Undergraduate Foreign Language Research Journal

It makes your Chinese learning more effective.

Culture Shock Hanban Teachers Encounter In American Classroom Teaching, Shunqing Li, Lifen Han, Huiwen Li
Chinese Language Teaching Methodology and Technology
Hanban teachers have made important contributions to the spreading of Chinese language and culture in the US. They also experience great cultural shocks during their teaching, which greatly challenge their life, work and even their physical and mental health. What are those cultural shocks? What are the causes of them? Can we find out some methods to prevent or deal with them? The present study, by employing classroom observation, interview, and self-reflection approaches, investigates the cultural shocks Hanban teachers commonly encounter during their teaching in K-12 schools in the State of Ohio, and conducts analysis of the causes of these …

These errors reflect the students’ lack of knowledge of Chinese characters, the writing skills, and the application of Yin and Yang philosophy. Corresponding instructions and guidance are needed to help …
