The article discusses the postelection crisis in Kenya which has caused suffering to innocent civilians in the area. It states that the chaos was caused by the negligence of both the opposing parties of incumbent candidate Mwai Kibaki and his rival Raila Odinga. The author claimed that Kenyan people would continue to suffer and the nation will continue to be troubled because of the selfishness of both leaders over power.

The Conception Of Irony With Continual Reference To Kierkegaard: An Examination Of Ironic Play In Fear And Trembling, Julie Ann Parker Frederick
Theses and Dissertations
This thesis studies the relationship of irony, as defined in Kierkegaard's The Concept of Irony to the text and subject of Fear and Trembling. Irony is interpreted in this thesis as negative space, which both binds and separates and which assumes meaning equal to or greater than the positive space that binds it. This definition applies to Kierkegaard's Socrates who lived ironically in the space between actuality and ideality. This thesis considers how Abraham also lived in ironic space and why ironic space is a prerequisite for faith. Unlike Socrates, Abraham did not stop with irony, but used irony to …

Breathing is the foundation for all phonation, but the means for achieving the best use of the breath in singing is debatable. Prescribed methods range from Cornelius Reid, who stated that "breathing can be mastered by students of no more than an average intelligence and ability within a very short time,"(Reid Bel Canto 145) to Richard Miller who described the muscles and organs of respiration in great detail and provided pages of detailed exercises to develop the breath support for singing. Gloria Davis was born on February 9, 1938, at Morrisania hospital in the Bronx. From the ages of 4 to 12, she was raised in Gainesville, Florida by her grandmother, since her mother felt that she was unfit to raise a daughter by herself at that time. Davis then moved back to the Bronx to live with her mother, and Davis has stayed in the Bronx ever since. She is the mother of six, the grandmother of thirteen, and the great-grandmother of six.
