Their stated objective is “publishing challenging and sometimes outrageous pamphlets,” and Lehmann's short piece fulfills this claim brilliantly, evoking intellectual mood swings that span from shouting for joy at a particularly lucid formulation to shouting angrily at the deftness with which Lehmann transforms his lucidity into suspiciously wrongheaded and reactionary assessments. As established in the Sikh scriptural canon, ideal leaders internalize qualities of self-sovereignty, intentional servitude, integrative creativity, authentic compassion, and perhaps most significant of all, Divine inspiration. Models of communal decision-making can also be derived from the lives of the Gurū-Prophets (1469–1708 C.E.) and the institutions they established. Though the faith recognizes no clergy class, graduates of historical seminaries often emerge as significant leaders for the Sikh nation. The purpose of this study was (1) to identify the students' and instructors'/supervisors' perceptions regarding Asian international music therapy students' English proficiency, and (2) to identify successful strategies students use or instructors/supervisors suggest for resolution regarding English proficiency in clinical situations. The participants of this study were Asian international music therapy students who are currently enrolled in practicum classes or internships in the United States, and instructors/supervisors who have supervised Asian international music therapy students. While southern college football teams remained all white until the late 1960s and early 1970s, Michigan State University head football coach Duffy Daugherty formed championship teams in 1965 and 1966 by recruiting the best southern black players. While coaches in the North recruited black athletes and played them regularly by the mid-1950s, no other coach took the risks Daugherty did to integrate his teams. Duffy Daugherty's path-breaking teams broke all the rules of integrated competition and forced southern schools to reconsider their stance on segregated college football.

An overwhelming majority are Non-Seekers, those who do not care about spiritual things and would rather you not bring them up either. In fact, most of the people we really wish we could reach for Christ are non-Seekers. Seeker-oriented methodology will not work for reaching, or for influencing, non-Seekers in today’s culture.

Blaise Pascal (1623-1662), a French scientist and mathematician, argued that it is advantageous to believe in or to “bet on” God because the rewards for doing so are at least as great as the rewards for not believing in God, regardless of whether or not God exists. His decision theoretic argument is commonly referred to as Pascal’s Wager. It is unlikely that everyone has the same estimates of the rewards for believing in God or for not believing in God that Pascal had. This study aimed to investigate how Thai advanced and non-advanced university students used cognitive and metacognitive strategies when performing a computer-based listening test, and whether there were relationships between the strategies employed and their performances on the test. The subjects were fourth-year Chulalongkorn University students. The instruments included a computer-based listening test, questionnaires and interviews. This article aims at studying (1) the relationships between three selected variables (computer attitudes, computer anxiety, and computer familiarity) and reading comprehension Computer- Based Test (CBT) performance of Thai students and (2) the extent to which the three variables predict their reading comprehension CBT scores. A correlational study was conducted. The data were collected from 90 undergraduate Thai students. They are assigned to three groups of high, average and low English language ability. The purpose of this study was to investigate types, components, length, and inner elements of titles of research articles in medical sciences, including nursing science. A corpus of 992 research titles in four leading journals, from 2003 to 2005, was analyzed. Research instruments were four computer programs: the Microsoft Word for word count, Microsoft Excel for data preparation, a concordancing program for displaying concordances of the required words, and SPSS for calculating the mean and standard deviation. This research paper reports proper and improper behaviors / conducts of EFL instructors as perceived by the fourth-year English major students at a large Thai university in order to help enhance English learning success and avoid poor learning achievement. Creating a low-anxiety classroom atmosphere is clearly an important prerequisite to language learning success. The findings have serious implications for EFL instructors. It is expected that this information may be able to help EFL students and instructors to cope with existing difficulties and anxiety-provoking situations and endeavor to make the learning context less stressful and more pleasurable.

Idea Sharing: Experiences Introducing An Internet-Based English Course, Willard Van De Bogart

This paper focuses on how an active learning model was applied to an internet-based course to develop English writing, problem solving, critical thinking, and literacy skills. It was found that the time needed, to evaluate student work arising from, the internet, based course was much greater than that required in the former paper based course. Based on this experience it is recommended that institutions changing over from paper based ELT materials to internet based ELT materials should really reduce class sizes.

In the discussion of Christian origins, Judaism, and their relationship to the gospel of John, the Birkat ha-minim remains an important element; particularly as it pertains to the occurrence of άποσυνάγωγος; in John 9:22; 12:42; and 16:2 and John's pejorative presentation of the 'Ιουδαιοι. Some have contended that it explains why, in these verses, Jewish followers of Jesus were ostracized from the synagogue which resulted in John's animosity in the use of 'Ιουδαιοι.
