Among the many barriers to church growth is an unforgiving spirit in the congregation. Jerry Graham’s article on “Forgiveness: The Key To Spiritual Warfare” completes this issue of the journal in fine fashion. His article is not a rehash of teaching on forgiveness but rather a revealing look at how forgiveness and spiritual warfare are related.

The Bridge
Like Wallace Stegner, Sophus Keith Winther feels uncomfortable with the label "Western writer." For Stegner, the label too often smacks of horse-opera: outworn myths that lacked historical basis to begin with. Winther's objection has less to do with the subject matter, more to do with themes and character: regionalism-whether Western or Southers, or Wessex-too often exploits superficial traits of locality, whereas enduring literature reveals the universal drama of the human condition ("The Limits of Regionalism"). I knew my Grandma Lund as a strong person. She was my Dad's mother, mary, the "tough" grandmaother my parents called on to babysit my older sister, Laurette, and me when they would travel for more than a few days. Nielsen. The Junction City Times only used the initials "A. C."

As the locale for one of the oldest continuing cultural, linguistic, and ethnic entities, Iran provides archaeological evidence for dance portrayed on Mesopotamean pottery dated to 5000 BCE (Zoka', 1978). Evidence for continuing choreographic activity is documented in the historical writings of foreigners, from biblical times to ancient Greece to the Persian and Ottoman empires. Iconographic artworks showing dance also exist, such as silver objects from the Sasanian period (224-650 CE) and Persian miniatures from the twelfth century. Iran is, and most likely has always been, a place of immense ethnic and linguistic diversity, a continental crossroad open to influences …
