A Comparison Of Speech Defects Found Among Pupils Of The Third To Sixth Grades Inclusive Of An Urban With A Rural Area In Cache County Utah, George F. Swenson

The objective of this study is to compare the number and types of speech defectives in a rural area with those of an urban area in Utah. Cache County was chosen as the rural area and Logan City as the urban. The study includes all students in the third to sixth grades in these two areas.

If this procedure seems somewhat arbitrary, we state again that the purpose of this thesis is merely to show how completely the doctrine of Christ's humanity has been revealed in the epistle to the Hebrews.

No one has ever published a history of the Slate industry in Buckingham County, Virginia. Many geologists and newspaper correspondents have written from time to time, short articles and technical descriptions of various phases of the Buckingham slate industry, but all of the related published material that I have had access to has been somewhat sketchy and inaccurate. Consequently, this essay is an attempt to fill, in a comprehensive manner, another of the numerous gaps in the economic and industrial history of Virginia.

In March 1778, there enlisted in the Continental Army a young man, Griffith Dickenson, who was later the grandfather of David Vincent Dickenson.

This young man had been born in Hanover County, Virginia, on August 8, 1757. However, only a comparatively few years of his life were spent at the place of his birth. There was an unfortunate second marriage of Griffith's father which led to his departure, at the age of twelve, from the paternal home. Following his election to the office of President of the United States, in 1932, Franklin D. Roosevelt began his attempt to overcome the economic difficulties caused by the depression of 1929. His program for recovery included the enactment by Congress of many new pieces of legistlation. A great amount of this legislation was ruled out by the Supreme Court as unconstitutional. Subsequently, the President on February 5, 1937, presented a proposal to alter the court system of the United States. This proposal brought forth a surge of public opinion throughout the nation. Quiroga attended school, first at the Instituto Universal de Montevideo, then at the Politécnico de Salto and finally at the University. His natural independence caused him to leave home at an early age.
