Although Bowling Green claims itself as the home of such American icons as Duncan Hines and the Corvette, it is anything but a stereotypical place. As the state's fifth-largest city, Bowling Green boasts the second-largest number of restaurants per capita in the country, the Commonwealth's fastest-growing university, and the most ethnically diverse population in the state. Since its founding in 1798, Bowling Green has continued to accumulate a fascinating history and cultivate a promising future. Images of …

Personalism In John Donne's Art, Phillip Shaw Sep 2003

Personalism In John Donne's Art, Phillip Shaw

Masters Theses & Specialist Projects

This study examines personalism in John Donne's art: to what extent his poems are a product of his personality over and above conscious invention and artifice. It argues that Donne writes the way he does because, for the most part, he fails to attain distance from his work. The subjects that he writes about regularly are straight from his own life, and his take on them is highly personal.
