Letter, 6 June 1862, from Eugenia De Roode, Nashville, Tennessee to James Overstreet, Hanly (Jessamine County) Kentucky. Formerly a music teacher at "Misses Jacksons' Seminary" in Lexington, Kentucky, De Roode writes of her negative views of Confederates, particularly those from Kentucky and Tennessee. She also makes cogent remarks about the work of Andrew Johnson, Tennessee's military governor.
