Principal Figures, Activity Issues And Doctrines That Shaped Medieval Church Supremacy, Wayne Hallett

Mahurin Honors College Capstone Experience/Thesis Projects

This paper will explore the principal figures, activities, issues and doctrines that shaped the ascent of the Medieval Church, with emphasis on the period from 1000 to 1300 A.D. Some of the important ground did begin earlier though, and influential concepts were carried forward from the Gospels, the early Church fathers, and writers such as St. Augustine. Monasticism, art, and pilgrimage and the veneration of relics and saints played important roles in promoting the goals of the Church and the molding of the Medieval mind. Some of the important papal bulls. decrees, and canons of the Church councils reflect characteristics …

The Colonelette

On September 22, 1949, Shirley Cupp, Irma Beisel, Frances Stuckey and Mr. Hilary Bufton Jr. met in a coffee shop in downtown Kansas City to incorporate the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA). Jean Fulkerson helped start The Kentucky Colonels Chapter on 3 June 1964 in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Twenty-six women met at Western Hills Restaurant and elected Linda Sidebottom as the first president. Besides providing professional development opportunities for local businesswomen, the Chapter gave scholarships to women furthering their education, and held social and recognition events throughout the year. Muhlenberg County Heritage

“The Muhlenberg County [Kentucky] Heritage” was published four times a year by the Muhlenberg County Genealogical Society in Greenville, Kentucky, from 1978 to 2001. The cover title sometimes appears as “The Heritage.” The publication’s purpose was to support the society and to publish information about the genealogy, culture, and history of Muhlenberg County. A separate annual index was printed each year for volumes 1-14. Afterwards, each issue was indexed separately. Generally, the index is to surnames only.
