A Long-expected update: I’m very pleased to be able to announce that the Mythlore archival website and online editorial management platform is now live. Through the generous sponsorship of Southwestern Oklahoma State University, Mythlore and the Mythopoeic Society now have an official online home for back issues of the journal, The Mythlore Index Plus, and, eventually, other publications and society archives.

Sayers, George MacDonald, and G.K. Chesterton. Also discusses the structure and uses of archives in general.

The landscape, in a piece of mythopoeic fiction, is more than a backdrop to the action- It is the story itself rendered static. The way each author arranges their landscape thus reflects their conception of continuities, discontinuities, and imbalances of power and reality between the mundane and the fantastic. I argue that by applying the postcolonial theories of Mary Louise Pratt, Michel de Certeau, and Homi Bhaba to the fantastic landscapes that are mapped or left unmapped by Diana Wynne Jones in Hexwood and Garth Nix in his Old Kingdom Series, it is revealed that the ideological divide between the …

Oklahoma Missile Site: Aiming For The Historic Marker, Landry Brewer

Goal: Place a historic marker at the site near Willow, Oklahoma, that housed an Atlas F intercontinental Ballistic Missile 1962-1965.

Southwestern Oklahoma State University issued a press release about my historic marker fundraising endeavor and partnership with the Old Greer County Museum. In addition to the story being broadcast by local radio stations and printed by local newspapers. KFOR NewsChannel 4 in Oklahoma City broadcast a segment during a Wednesday evening newscast that was rebroadcast multiple times through the following weekend. Also, the Old Greer County Museum included the release in its emailed newsletter, and one of the newsletter's readers …
