The first 122 pages of this book relate to Bulloch County and form the tenth book of Readings in Bulloch County History. The remainder comprise the Southern Folkways Journal Review No. 3, and relate to Southeast Georgia and to the Southeastern region of the United States. Collection spans 1843 to 1995 and contains documents related to James Arthur Bunch’s education at First District Agricultural and Mechanical School and his subsequent career in agriculture as well that of his son Isaac Bunce. Newspaper clippings on the restoration of the Bunce farmhouse and other materials documenting the activities of the Bunce family in Bulloch County are included.

This collection was assembled by Delma Eugene Presley and Norris Kemp Mabry and includes materials related to the Altahama Raft Festival. The festival was part of the National Endowment for the Humanities funded Project RAFT: Restoring Altamaha Folklife Traditions which resulted from interviews with people who lived in the Altamaha River Valley. Materials include first-day cover letters, poster, newspaper clippings, promotional and interpretive brochures.
