Throughout its history, the Evangelical Church has always been concerned for the underpriveleged and unreached. Through a comprehensive survey of the needs of the mountains of Kentucky, it was decided that this was a logical place to do missionary service. The underpriveleged of the mountains of Kentucky had long since been neglected. The Evangelical Church accepted that area to further its missionary enterprises.

A lack of uniformity exists in contemporary American Protestant summer camp programs. These programs are the products of varying church camp philosophies and procedures. A rather complex pattern of criteria has arisen to differentiate these camp programs. For example, some authorities suggest that a church camp exists only when the majority of its activities are conducted out-of-doors, and when such is not the case, a camp should be called a conference. It was the purpose of this research to define and clarify the philosophies and procedures used in contemporary American Protestant summer church camps.

Evangelical pastors in central Brazil who pertain to the Brazilian denomination known as the "União das Igrejas Evangélicas Congregacionais e Cristãs" do Brasil(the U.I.E.C.C.B.) serve charges with as many as twenty-eight preaching points. Distances are great. Roads, communications and means of transportation are poor. Outpost stations, outpost Sunday schools and outpost congregations do well to see their pastor once a month. Some see him only once a year.

Since these U.I.E.C.C.B. pastors are overburdened with responsibility for sermons, sacraments and supervision, most of the speaking, teaching, witnessing and administering in the local church is done by laymen. Very few of …

Much has been written on the subject of New Testament Introduction. An investigation disclosed the astonishing and revealing fact, that most of the Introductions which could be recommended to laymen were in old books which were no longer in print. It was also discovered that some which were available for laymen, were too brief in content as well as inadequate for comprehension. Some of the books were in too fine a print to attract the layman. Most introductions do not contain the message of the several epistles. Thus this study was undertaken.
