Among these innumerable miracles the Lord's Prayer, in its content, sequence, and beauty, is unsurpassed. It is the summary of every God-pleasing prayer ever recorded in heaven or on earth. Every other prayer prompted by the Spirit is the Lord's Prayer in part, cast into a different form. Any opinion to the contrary is an evidence that the content of the Lord's Prayer has not been understood, nor its scope measured, nor its depth sounded.
