The Ancestry And Descendants Of Harry William Mcglothlin Of Bloomer, Chippewa County, Wisconsin, Lawrence W. Onsager

McGlothlin is a variant spelling of McLaughlin, a name with both Irish and Scottish origins. McLaughlin is the Anglicized form of Gaelic Mac Lochlainn, ‘son of the Scandinavian’, from the personal name Lochlann. Lochlann, a personal name meaning ‘stranger’, originally denoting a Scandinavian from the west of Norway (a Viking) or the Norse (Viking)-dominated part of Scotland.
In Irish Gaelic, the adjectival noun, ‘Lochlannach’ has the additional sense of robber/raider/marauder’. To further confuse the origin of the name, in Ireland some of the McLaughlins were originally O’Melaghlin – descendants of the King of Meath (Wikepedia; www.familyeducation.com).

The question of the character of God has been an issue of contention among many biblical scholars, particularly when considering the severe punitive actions that he unleashes upon humanity from time to time. This contention makes it imperative to reexamine the biblical corpus to ascertain its portrayal of YHWH's character in the light of his harsh and severe judgments.

The topic of the human soul has seen renewed interest in recent years. Studies have been produced that have looked at the soul in light of modern science and medicine along with a continued focus on the thoughts of the ancients on this topic. The early Church Fathers played an important role in mediating the thoughts of the ancients to more recent times. While models of teaching and teaching methods have manifested themselves in the wake of most major world philosophies and thus are accessible to present-day educators, a defined model of teaching based on the Christian worldview is harder to find. Problem. The average length of stay for school principals in the Seventh-day Adventist system of education in North America is 2.5-4.0 years. Elementary principals remain in leadership for 2.5 years, day academy principals stay for 3.6 years, and boarding academy principals stay for 4.0 years. Many studies have identified reasons why school principals leave their jobs. However, few studies have been conducted to understand why principals in the organization stay.
