Electronic Litigation And Its Effect On Judicial Justice From The Perspective Of SharīʿAh, Basim Mohammed A. Almabadi

This study aims to examine the concept of e-litigation, its legitimacy, and its effect on judicial justice. To achieve this, the study first defines e-litigation, its origins, its legal basis in Sharīʿah (Islamic law), and the requirements for its implementation. It then highlights the main reasons necessitating recourse to e-litigation as well as its positive and negative implications for the realization of judicial justice. The study adopts both the inductive and analytical methods. The findings reveal that e-litigation relies on modern electronic means in all stages of litigation, including the conduct of trial sessions and the issuance of judgments. Moreover, …

Foreign language learning anxiety remains a critical affective variable influencing learners’ performance in English as a foreign language (EFL) classrooms. This study examined the association between translanguaging as a pedagogical strategy and foreign language anxiety among Saudi university students. Adopting a quantitative descriptive-correlational design, data were collected from 200 undergraduate EFL students using a structured questionnaire. While the study design allowed for correlational analysis, the individual participant data required to compute a correlation coefficient between the primary constructs was not provided in the report. In this study, Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) is employed to examine the relationships among employee engagement, inclusive management, creativity, and organizational diversity climate in a Saudi university (University of Tabuk). Based on Social Exchange Theory (SET) and Leader-Member Exchange (LMX) theory, the research offers empirical evidence that inclusive leadership enhances the organisational diversity climate, thereby raising employee engagement and creativity. The study aimed to investigate the role of digital learning in developing creative thinking skills among gifted middle school students from the perspective of parents. The sample included 200 parents, with a mean age of (36.42) years and a standard deviation of (5.52). The study adopted a mixed-methods approach, using both a questionnaire and semi-structured interviews. The results indicated that digital learning contributes positively to the development of creative thinking skills. The creative imagination dimension obtained the highest mean score (4.59, SD = 0.58), followed by sensitivity to problems, flexibility, and originality, respectively. This study aims to examine the presence of coloniality in the film The Fever (A Febre), directed by Maya Da-Rin, while also addressing linguistic aspects, particularly the interplay between the indigenous Tukano language and Portuguese throughout the narrative. It further explores the relationship between language, identity, and culture. The analysis is grounded in the theoretical frameworks of Carey-Webb (2024), Quijano (2007), Kaká Werá (1998), Othero (2017), Karnal (2024), Bourdieu (1991), and Maher (2010). “El hijo del vampiro” de Julio Cortázar es una obra gótica que enmarca y destaca las características del vampiro clásico dentro de la literatura. A través del cuento, Cortázar crítica al sistema patriarcal mediante personajes como Duggu Van, símbolo del patriarcado, el cual abusa sexualmente de Lady Vanda. La violencia física, sistemática y simbólica son ejecutadas por dicho personaje a lo largo del cuento. Jayro Bustamante’s film La Llorona (2019) reimagines the Latin American myth of the weeping woman to expose the failures of state justice and propose a feminist, decolonial alternative rooted in Indigenous memory and spiritual retribution. The film follows retired general Enrique Monteverde, modeled after Guatemalan dictator Efraín Ríos Montt, as he is tried for genocide against the Maya Ixil people. While the courtroom scenes depict a moment of accountability, they ultimately reveal how legal institutions remain complicit in protecting power. We analyze two contrasting discourses on New Mexican identity, as represented in political cartoons from Trever (2021) and García (2018). We show how visual and linguistic elements of the cartoons work together to construct identity through metaphor and metonymy. It was found that Trever (2021) relied on cultural symbols such as the Zia Sun symbol as metonyms for various aspects of New Mexico’s identity, while García (2018) subverted established metaphors for American culture such as the melting pot and Uncle Sam to critique governmental influence on Nuevomexicano (‘New Mexican’) identity formation.
