The current study aimed to examine the relationship between academic quality of life and self-regulation, as well as the relative contribution of self-regulation in predicting academic quality of life among a sample of graduate students at King Abdulaziz University. The study sample consisted of 400 students from the Faculty of Arts (150 male and 250 female students). To measure the research variables, the researcher used the Academic Quality of Life Scale developed by Okasha and Al-Zoghbi (2019) and the Self-Regulation Scale developed by Al-Tarabsheh and Al-Shuqran (2017). Scoring Accuracy And Differential Rater Functioning Of Large Language Models (Llms) In Evaluating Short Student Essays Under Different Conditions: A Simulation Study, Majed Mahmoud Ajoudeh

This study aimed to evaluate the accuracy and differential rater functioning (DRF) of LLMs in scoring short essays, based on synthetically generated data of 270 essays with varying quality. The LLMs scored the essays under three prompting conditions: without a rubric, with a brief rubric, and with a detailed rubric. Human benchmark ratings were also generated in comparison with the automated scores. The results showed that using detailed rubric improved accuracy and consistency with human raters. Regression analysis further revealed differential rater functioning: the LLMs were more likely to award higher scores to longer essays, favored indirect writing styles, and …

The study aimed to examine the impact of an e-training program based on sustainable development in enhancing early childhood teachers' confidence in integrating technology into teaching. The sample consisted of (30) teachers enrolled in the Master of Early Childhood program at King Faisal University. A quasi-experimental design with pre-post testing was employed, using the "Technology Integration Confidence" scale, and data were analyzed with a t-test. The study approached a quasi-experimental method with a single group of (42) female undergraduate students studying in courses related to designing electronic newspapers. The study materials included a training program designed according to the ADDIE instructional design model. The present study aimed to assess the teaching performance of Islamic Studies female teachers in light of the principles of Cognitive Apprenticeship Theory, as viewed by school evaluators in Al-Ahsa, Saudi Arabia. It also sought to identify statistically significant differences in the participants' evaluations of teaching performance levels, attributed to the variables of educational stage, years of experience, and job grade. This study sought to explore opportunities for leveraging Singapore's distinguished pre-service teacher education model and assessing its applicability within the Saudi context. Employing a descriptive-analytical approach, the research compared teacher preparation systems in both countries, drawing on official documents, educational literature, and insights from 82 educational experts. The findings highlighted the excellence of Singapore's model, which is built on an effective tripartite partnership between the National Institute of Education, the Ministry of Education, and schools. This study aimed to investigate the perceptions of design students at the College of Design and Applied Arts at Taif University of Saudi Arabia using an experimental art therapy program. The experimental user used pre- and post-tests on the creations of (30) students. A scale for students' perceptions of art therapy was administered before and after the study. Study aims to identify strategies for dealing with overuse of artificial intelligence applications among postgraduate students in Saudi universities: an analytical of its academic impacts and proposed solutions, adopted a descriptive-analytical approach by administering a questionnaire to a sample of (327) male, female postgraduate students from (Al-Jouf, Taibah, Najran, Shaqra) universities. The results showed that level of prevalence of the overuse of artificial intelligence applications among postgraduate students was moderate. Transnormativity is a within-group framework that positions trans and nonbinary (TNB) individuals in a hierarchy of legitimacy based on adherence to binary gender norms (Johnson, 2016). Nonbinary individuals, who comprise 38% of U.S. transgender adults, face unique challenges, including systemic invalidation, misgendering, and erasure both within and outside LGBTQIA+ communities (James et al., 2024; Matsuno et al., 2024). The persistent and severe underrepresentation of Black women in K-12 educational leadership (just 1.4% of superintendencies) is a critical manifestation of Epistemic Injustice (Fricker, 2007) and the Architecture of Hostility. Dominant managerial paradigms in education structurally suppress the voices and devalue the expertise of Black women, leading to both testimonial injustice (credibility deficits) and hermeneutical injustice (misinterpretation of experience). This context forces them to pursue advancement within systems fundamentally structured to exclude them. This article examines the fermentative processes at the core of the agricultural food system of the Upper Rio Negro, northwestern Amazon, highlighting women’s technical and social agency in the production of fermented beverages such as caxiri. Based on ethnographic fieldwork conducted among Baniwa and Tukano families between 2018 and 2019, the study explores how fermentation constitutes not merely a biochemical transformation of matter but a sociotechnical language through which women express intention, alliance, and distinction. State Narrative Dominance In Terrorism Reporting: A Critical Discourse Analysis Of Kompas Coverage, Putri Khairunnisa

This study examines Kompas.com’s news construction of the bombing at the Makassar Cathedral Church on 28 March 2021 by integrating Entman’s Media Framing theory with Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis. Using all news reports published between 28 March and 5 April 2021, the study finds that Kompas frames the event through security-oriented diction, agent–action structures that foreground state authorities as the primary actors, and high-modality statements that minimize uncertainty during the early crisis phase. Intertextual references to previous terrorism cases accelerate the labeling of the perpetrators as part of the JAD network. At the level of discursive practice, reliance on official …

The following is a summary of key findings from my analysis of the unconventional interviews that I posthumously conducted with Dr. Allan Leslie Combs in a creative take on qualitative interviews. This study is based on my viewing of several of his recorded interviews and talks and on reading two of his books, The Radiance of Being and Consciousness Explained Better. This paper introduces the Unified Model of Music-Listening Induced Eudaimonia (UMMIE), which offers an integrated novel theoretical framework to explain how music listening promotes prosocial and altruistic outcomes. Drawing on communication and psychology research, UMMIE maintains that elicitation of eudaimonic emotions can be appraised inwards, towards oneself, and thus contribute to the individual's personal growth, wellbeing, and development, or outwards, by connecting to something bigger than oneself, to humanity in general, which could possibly then lead to enhanced prosocial and altruistic attitudes and behaviors.
