The Statehood Policy Of Albert J. Beveridge: 1901-1911, Charles Edgar Maddox

History ETDs

This thesis will examine the personality and policy of Albert J. Beveridge, of Indiana, in his role as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Territories from 1901 to 1911. Particular emphasis is placed upon his attitude toward the admission into the Union of three territories, New Mexico, Arizona, and Oklahoma. This, therefore, is an effort to disclose the motives, methods, and theories which determined and characterized Beveridge's statehood policy.

A Survey Of Advertising Copy Appeals As Seen In The Milwaukee Journal From January, 1937 To January, 1938, Frances M. Revere

Bachelors’ Theses

The purpose of this thesis is to show what copy appeal are current in present day advertising columns as exemplified by advertising appearing in the Milwaukee Journal for the year, 1937. Advertising copy may be divided into many categories, but the most obvious are the distinct groups which appeal either to the senses or to reason. If this thesis does no more than break down these groups as displayed on the newspaper page and analyze them for their individuating traits, then it will have accomplished its purpose.

Note From Karl Theodor Weigel About Eduard Wildhagen, May 27, 1938, Karl Theodor Weigel

Atlas of German Folklore

In this note for the files, Karl Theodor Weigel describes a letter from Eduard Wildhagen regarding a book by Wildhagen concerning the Atlas of German Volkskunde. Wildhagen sought approval from the Ahnenerbe and Reichsführer SS before publishing the book. Weigel noted that he advised Wildhagen to go through official channels. It is stated that Wildhagen was certain that Himmler was no longer hostile toward him, but Weigel had heard otherwise.
