The Liechtenstein Music Archive On Microfilm At Syracuse, Don L. Smithers

Small but significant former church libraries in Poland and Czechoslovakia, often in remote areas, do not normally have the facilities or the technically skilled personnel to provide photographic copies of their unique sources. Music and documents relating to pre-eighteenth-century musical establishments, especially ecclesiastical foundations, are often preserved in such libraries. One of these is located in the small town of Kromerli in Moravia, Czechoslovakia. The unique musical sources in this somewhat remote library are now most felicitously preserved on microfilm at Syracuse University.
