About eleven thousand years ago the earliest known human inhabitants of the Central Andean area began a lifestyle which developed into some of the richest cultures of the ancient American civilizations. The people living in this thirteen-hundred-mile arid mountain zone, which is now the nation of Peru, produced some of the most outstanding examples of ceramics in the world before the birth of Christ.

RISD press was a student newspaper published weekly in the early 1970s, a self-described attempt at consolidating all the information outlets of the school, including the previous student newspapers, Montage. The issue of May 11, 1973 included an article about COLAB 4 and RISD Commencement (May 26) activities. There also was an interview with Mr. Hohannesian, RISD faculty who was retiring. Comics, a recipe, and events for RISD students were also included.

The issue of May 4, 1973 had an article about RISD student housing with the Dean, Mrs. Davies. There were some articles about RISD faculty Harry Beckwith and the conflict surrounding him. Twenty-four works of art were exhibited at The Rudolph E. Lee Gallery, College of Architecture, Clemson University, from April 12, 1973, through May 11,1973, in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Fine Arts. This exhibition represented work produced during thesis study. The paintings presented reflect an interlocking of conceptual ideas and perceptual insight into a personal Visual Arts form. The imagery created expresses visual statements of space /earth forms in transition. In order to communicate such visual concepts, polymer and water color were selected as media.
