This study traces the semantic transformation of the lexicon ukhti within Indonesia’s digital landscape. The term ukhti ( أُ خْ تِي ), derived from Arabic and meaning “my sister,” was initially used as a form of biological kinship address, later evolving into a fictional kinship address. However, in its current usage, the term increasingly conveys exclusivity and produces stereotypical perceptions of Muslim women. This study focuses on the use of ukhti on Indonesia's Social Media Platform X, examining how its meaning has become more specific and how this shift affects the representation of diverse Muslim female identities. This research explores the role of Korean dramas (K- dramas) as a catalyst for South Korea’s cultural diplomacy in Indonesia over the decade 2015–2025, emphasizing how major drama releases contribute to strengthening soft- power influence. In early March 2024, Netflix premiered the Korean drama “Queen of Tears,” which quickly rose to the top of the Non- English Global TOP 10 list for the week of March 25–31, recording 93.8 million viewing hours. The drama reached top- 10 rankings in 68 countries, including the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia, and India. This global achievement represents the culmination of a decade- long …

Studies on political speeches in Nigeria have focused essentially on the speeches of political office inaugural speeches and speeches of political office holders, while not much appears to be done on the speeches of candidates who did not succeed in the election. BACKGROUND

Groups working toward creating peace and equity often focus on external innovation without addressing internal culture shifts necessary to navigate change and achieve their goals. Michelle’s doctoral research and practice address this challenge through a design research study and peace innovation project focused on organizational culture transformation through a design justice framework. Findings suggest that interweaving the framework with storytelling, arts, and embodiment practices are key to support people in navigating change processes to strengthen relationships, foster trust, and build community.

Los vestidos indígenas cuzqueños contemporáneos se caracterizan por tener decoraciones iconográficas variadas. Es la representación floral decorativa que destaca por el color, el diseño y la forma. El motivo floral aparece adornando tanto los vestidos de las imágenes santas de la pintura cuzqueña (siglos XVII y XVIII) como la ropa de los incas nobles retratados durante la colonia. This dissertation addresses gaps in understandings of looking in research and practice by creating and defining sociolooking. Sociolooking is a theory of looking together and choreographing looking experiences. Researchers, educators, and practitioners across many fields value close looking and have offered step-by-step strategies for facilitating looking. While these strategies and related research are instrumental in understanding discrete aspects of looking and learning to look, they do not fully acknowledge or explore the underlying social and dynamic ways people engage in looking in everyday situations. This thesis examines the psychological, cultural and iconic influence of mid-20th-century comic book advertising and its enduring influence on modern marketing. With a concentration on adolescent readership, it examines how advertisements in comics shaped consumerist behavior through aspirational discourse, gendered address and emotional manipulation. Through literature reviews, visual analyses and case studies—such as the Charles Atlas bodybuilding campaign, Sea Monkeys and X-ray glasses—this research investigates the rhetorical strategies and ethical ramifications of advertising to children.
