Though the spatial aspects of transit design and their associated impact on health, congestion, air pollution, accident rates, and emissions of greenhouse gases are well understood, the experiential-qualitative aspects of mobility have often been ignored in the travel and transport literature. Like the rest of the USA, the Greater Richmond, Virginia (RVA) region severely suffered from the COVID-19 pandemic impacts in multiple areas. The Greater Richmond Transit Company (GRTC) took big hits in its system transit ridership in fiscal years (FY) 2020 and 2021. In response to this emergency, GRTC immediately implemented bold management strategies to protect its operators and riders, serve essential trips, adjust operating schedules, offer free transit services, and broaden funding sources. Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) is a recommended planning strategy of smart growth and New Urbanism. In theU.S., over 90% of TOD projects are rail TOD (RTOD) projects. In contrast, bus TOD (BTOD) is a minor player, and is therefore lightly researched. Highlights : Disparities in distances people traveled for vaccinations by demographics exist. Males and White people traveled longer distances for vaccination appointments. Travel distances of over 10 miles for vaccination likely required motorized transportation.

Introduction: Understanding spatial and temporal trends in travel for COVID-19 vaccinations by key demographic characteristics (i.e., gender, race, age) is important for ensuring equitable access to and increasing distribution efficiency of vaccines and other health services. This case study investigates the demolished structures and lost wealth due to the construction of the Delaware Expressway (I-95) along Philadelphia’s Center City waterfront. The history of the Delaware Expressway is embedded in a larger freeway-building era in the United States that led to the destruction of urban neighborhoods throughout the country. Yet the neighborhoods that once occupied these corridors have fallen out of the collective memory, and there exists a lack of research analyzing the original conditions of these areas before freeways permanently changed them. งานวิจัยฉบับนี้มุ่งเน้นศึกษาเครือข่ายการเดินทางท่องเที่ยวแบบหลายจุดหมายปลายทางในช่วงเดือนมิถุนายน พ.ศ.2563 ถึงเดือนตุลาคม พ.ศ.2564 โดยใช้ข้อมูลบันทึกการใช้บริการโทรศัพท์ (Call Detail Record; CDR) จากผู้ใช้งานจำนวน 664,500 บัญชี คิดเป็นจำนวนการเดินทางท่องเที่ยวระหว่างจุดหมายปลายทาง 7,115,986 ทริป ครอบคลุม 77 จังหวัดในประเทศไทย ข้อมูลการใช้โทรศัพท์มือถือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยเป็นข้อมูลที่ไม่สามารถระบุตัวตนของผู้ใช้งานได้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาลักษณะการเดินทางท่องเที่ยว บทบาทของจังหวัดจุดหมายปลายทาง และศึกษากลุ่มจังหวัดการเดินทางท่องเที่ยวในประเทศไทยเพื่อประยุกต์ใช้กับการปรับปรุงแผนพัฒนาการท่องเที่ยวเพื่อให้สอดคล้องกับพฤติกรรมการท่องเที่ยว ผ่านใช้วิธีการวิเคราะห์เครือข่ายทางสังคม โดยวิเคราะห์ 3 วิธี ได้แก่ การวัดความเป็นศูนย์กลางตามระดับการเชื่อมต่อโดยคำนึงถึงค่าถ่วงน้ำหนัก จำนวนการเดินทางระหว่างจังหวัด และการหาชุมชนในเครือข่ายจากการศึกษาการเดินทางท่องเที่ยวแบบค้างคืนและการเดินทางท่องเที่ยวแบบไปกลับ พบว่าเครือข่ายการเดินทางท่องเที่ยวกระจุกตัวอยู่ในภาคกลาง โดยมีกลุ่มการเดินทางท่องเที่ยว 15 กลุ่ม 9 คู่จังหวัดจุดหมายปลายทาง รูปแบบการท่องเที่ยวแบบหลายจุดหมายปลายทางมีลักษณะแบบให้ความสำคัญกับจุดหมายปลายทาง (en route) เปรียบเทียบผลการศึกษากับเขตพัฒนาการท่องเที่ยวพบว่าเขตพัฒนาการท่องเที่ยวยังไม่สอดคล้องกับพฤติกรรมการท่องเที่ยว โดยสามารถนำผลลัพธ์ของการวิจัยไปประยุกต์ใช้เพื่อการนำเสนอรูปแบบการท่องเที่ยวแบบกลุ่มจังหวัดจากพฤติกรรมการท่องเที่ยว รวมถึงการพัฒนาโครงสร้างพื้นฐานที่สนับสนุนการเดินทางท่องเที่ยวกลุ่มจังหวัด อย่างไรก็ตามงานวิจัยฉบับนี้มีข้อจำกัดในด้านระยะเวลาการจัดเก็บข้อมูลซึ่งอยู่ในช่วงเดือนมิถุนายน พ.ศ.2563 ถึงเดือนตุลาคม พ.ศ.2564 ซึ่งอยู่ในช่วงการระบาดของโรคโควิด 19 ซึ่งอาจส่งผลให้พฤติกรรมการเดินทางท่องเที่ยวแตกต่างจากช่วงสถานการณ์ปกติ การศึกษาในอนาคตควรรวบรวมข้อมูลการใช้โทรศัพท์มือถือหรือการศึกษาพฤติกรรมของนักท่องเที่ยวในช่วงเวลาสถานการณ์ปกติเพิ่มเติม

งานวิจัยนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อการศึกษารวบรวมหลักสูตรการเรียนการสอนด้านผังเมืองในประเทศไทย และวิเคราะห์ความสัมพันธ์ของการเรียนการสอนด้านผังเมืองในประเทศไทยร่วมกับสถานการณ์ที่สำคัญที่เกี่ยวข้องในอดีต เพื่อศึกษาวิวัฒนาการการเรียนการสอนด้านผังเมือง และเพื่อเสนอแนะในการพัฒนาหลักสูตรด้านผังเมืองในอนาคตของประเทศไทย โดยมีวิธีการวิจัย ได้แก่ การรวบรวมข้อมูลที่เกี่ยวข้องกับหลักสูตร การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลที่เกี่ยวข้อง และการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกกับผู้เกี่ยวข้องได้แก่ ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านผังเมืองหรือผู้ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการเรียนการสอนด้านการผังเมืองในประเทศไทย ผลการศึกษาจากการรวบรวมหลักสูตรการเรียนการสอนด้านผังเมืองในประเทศไทยปัจจุบันพบว่าเปิดสอนทั้งหมด 10 สถาบัน มีหลักสูตรรวมทั้งสิ้น 19 หลักสูตร แบ่งเป็น 2 ระดับ ได้แก่ หลักสูตรระดับปริญญาบัณฑิต และหลักสูตรระดับบัณฑิตศึกษา หลักสูตรในช่วงแรกเป็นหลักสูตรในระดับบัณฑิตศึกษาของมหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร และจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ซึ่งทั้งสองหลักสูตรมีอิทธิพลต่อการก่อตั้งหลักสูตรในสถาบันอื่น ๆ ต่อมา ผลการวิเคราะห์ปัจจัยขับเคลื่อนที่ส่งผลต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงการเรียนการสอนผังเมืองในอนาคต แสดงให้เห็นว่า การกระจายอำนาจสู่ท้องถิ่น เป็นปัจจัยระดับสากลที่มีผลต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงมากที่สุด ในขณะที่สถานการณ์ในประเทศไทยพบว่าปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงมากที่สุด คือการเตรียมพร้อมเข้าสู่สังคมสูงอายุ ทั้งนี้ สามารถสรุปข้อเสนอแนะในการพัฒนาหลักสูตรด้านผังเมืองในอนาคตของประเทศไทยที่ได้จากการสัมภาษณ์ได้ว่าแนวทางการปรับตัวของหลักสูตรด้านการผังเมืองในอนาคตได้แก่ 1) การปรับการเรียนการสอนให้เป็นการเรียนรู้ตลอดชีวิต (Lifelong learning) 2) การยึดมั่นในหลักการของการผังเมือง 3) การพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืนเป็นเป้าหมายสำคัญ 4) การเตรียมความพร้อมเพื่อการปรับเนื้อหาบนความไม่แน่นอน 5) การปรับหลักสูตรให้ตอบโจทย์กับความต้องการของตลาดวิชาชีพมากขึ้น และ 6) การสร้างเครือข่ายสู่ระดับนานาชาติ งานวิจัยนี้จึงมีข้อเสนอแนะเพื่อเตรียมพร้อมสำหรับทิศทางของการจัดการเรียนการสอนในยุคปัจจุบัน ซึ่งเน้นการสร้างทักษะในศตวรรษที่ 21 จึงควรเพิ่มเติมทักษะทางด้านความเข้าใจความต่างวัฒนธรรมต่างกระบวนทัศน์ ซึ่งจำเป็นสำหรับบุคลากรด้านการผังเมืองในอนาคต ในปัจจุบันสถาบันการศึกษาต่าง ๆ สามารถจัดการเรียนการสอนได้อย่างอิสระโดยไม่จาเป็นต้องยึดโยงกับแนวทางขององค์กรวิชาชีพ จึงสามารถคาดหวังหลักสูตรที่มีความหลากหลายมากขึ้นในอนาคตได้ แต่ทั้งนี้ก็ควรจะต้องสอดคล้องกับมุมมองทิศทางของวิชาชีพด้วย เนื่องจากการเรียนการสอนด้านการผังเมืองมีเนื้อหาที่ต้องสะท้อนทั้งมิติของวิชาชีพและวิชาการไปพร้อมกัน

The problem explored in this mixed-method research is that many cities are unprepared for urban growth, which can only increase poverty and crime. The traditional transportation system is inadequate to support the increase of urbanism; it is responsible for polluting the air, increasing greenhouse gases, and losing thousands of lives annually due to car crashes and road-related accidents. The transportation sector is responsible for 28% of the overall greenhouse gas emissions (Environmental Protection Agency, 2018), and the economic costs of vehicle crashes in the United States totaled $340 billion (Department of Transportation, 2019).

ปัจจุบันทั่วโลกให้ความสำคัญกับการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน เช่นเดียวกันในประเทศไทยซึ่งมีอุดสาหกรรมการท่องเที่ยวที่สร้างเม็ดเงินทางเศรษฐกิจมหาศาล แต่ก็เป็นภาคที่บริโภคพลังงานและสร้างผลกระทบมากมายเช่นกัน งานวิจัยนี้จึงมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาแนวคิดการเข้าร่วมการรับรอง กลยุทธ์การดำเนินงานด้านความยั่งยืน รวมถึงผลจากการดำเนินงานนั้น ของรีสอร์ตในจังหวัดภูเก็ต ที่ได้รับการรับรองโรงแรมที่เป็นมิตรต่อสิ่งแวดล้อมในระดับ ทอง เงิน และทองแดง ระดับละ 1 กรณีศึกษา รวม 3 กรณีศึกษา และสรุปบทเรียนเพื่อเป็นแนวทางในการพัฒนาอุตสหกรรมการท่องเที่ยวอย่างยั่งยืนของไทยจากผลการศึกษาพบว่า 1) รีสอร์ตมีการปรับตัวสู่การเป็นที่พักที่มีการดำเนินการด้านความยั่งยืน โดยมีปัจจัยในการเข้าร่วมการรับรองโรงแรมที่เป็นมิตรต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม คือ ปัจจัยด้านการต่อยอดทางธุรกิจ ปัจจัยด้านสภาพแวดล้อมและที่ตั้ง และปัจจัยแนวคิดด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมของผู้บริหาร 2) กลยุทธ์การดำเนินงานด้านความยั่งยืนที่รีสอร์ตกรณีศึกษาเน้นมากที่สุด 4 หมวด ได้แก่ (1) ด้านการจัดการทรัพยากรและพลังงาน (2) ด้านการมีส่วนร่วมกับชุมชน (3) ด้านการจัดซื้อจัดจ้าง และ (4) ด้านการพัฒนาบุคลากร เนื่องจากธุรกิจที่พักแรมเป็นการลงทุนในระยะยาว สิ่งสำคัญคือการบริหารจัดการทรัพยากรเพื่อลดค่าใช้จ่าย รวมถึงพัฒนาบริการเพื่อสร้างรายได้ 3) ผลการดำเนินงานพบว่าค่าคะแนนภายใต้การดำเนินการด้านความยั่งยืนโดยรวมเป็นไปในทิศทางบวก อีกทั้งมุมมองผู้ประกอบการมองว่าการเข้าร่วมการรับรองดังกล่าวมีผลตอบรับที่ดี ทั้งจากผู้เข้าพัก พนักงาน และชุมชน โดยมองว่าทุกฝ่ายได้ผลประโยชน์ร่วมกัน แต่อย่างไรก็ตามผู้เข้าพักอาจมีข้อคิดเห็นในเชิงลบอยู่บ้าง เนื่องจากอาจขาดความเข้าใจในการดำเนินงานของรีสอร์ต จากผลการศึกษาชี้ให้เห็นว่ากรณีศึกษาระดับทองมีการดำเนินงานตามแผนงานที่ชัดเจน ปฏิบัติได้จริง ที่สอดคล้องตามตัวชี้วัดของเกณฑ์โรงแรมที่เป็นมิตรต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม ส่วนกรณีศึกษาระดับเงิน มีการดำเนินงานอย่างจริงจังใน 3 โครงการหลักอยู่เดิมจึงเป็นการเข้าร่วมโครงการเพื่อประชาสัมพันธ์การดำเนินงาน และต่อยอดไปยังการรับรองและรางวัลด้านความยั่งยืนอื่น ขณะที่กรณีศึกษาระดับทองแดงที่มีข้อแตกต่างด้านที่ตั้ง ซึ่งอยู่ในพื้นที่ท่องเที่ยวเชิงวิถีชุมชน มีการบูรณาการร่วมกับการประชาสัมพันธ์ทางการตลาดเป็นหลัก

Drawing on successful examples like Union Station in D.C. and Main Street Station in Richmond, this plan encourages stakeholders to adopt a strategic vision for the station and its vicinity as an asset to the region. An independent commission with equal representation from state agency representatives and residents would enact these improvements through a public-private partnership, including a transit-oriented development scheme for adjacent land.

Promoting cycling is one of the low-hanging fruits to decarbonizing transportation, with further extensive benefits to quality of life. The main deterrent to the adoption of cycling for transportation is the lack of safe and connected infrastructure. This thesis explores and compares the case studies of Paris and Bogotá, where cycling modal shares grew significantly within the last decade. ภายหลังจากรัฐบาลกำหนดให้พื้นที่แหลมฉบังบริเวณชายฝั่งทะเลภาคตะวันออกเป็นเขตเศรษฐกิจใหม่ ส่งผลให้อุตสาหกรรมเกิดการขยายตัว ซึ่งเกิดความต้องการของแรงงานและที่อยู่อาศัยที่เพิ่มขึ้น จากการศึกษาข้อมูลเบื้องต้นพบว่าสภาพที่อยู่อาศัยของกลุ่มผู้ใช้แรงงานอยู่ในสภาพเสื่อมโทรม มีความหนาแน่น และแออัด จากปัญหาดังกล่าวผู้วิจัยจึงสนใจศึกษาแนวทางในการแก้ไขปัญหาของกลุ่มผู้ใช้แรงงานและเพื่อคาดการณ์ความต้องการที่อยู่อาศัยเพื่อรองรับกลุ่มผู้ใช้แรงงานที่เพิ่มขึ้นในอนาคตผลการศึกษาพบว่าจากกลุ่มตัวอย่างจำนวน 423 คน แบ่งเป็นกลุ่มอุปสงค์ที่มีความต้องการย้ายที่อยู่อาศัยจำนวน 198 คน คิดเป็นอัตราร้อยละ 46.8 และกลุ่มที่ไม่มีความต้องการย้ายที่อยู่อาศัยจำนวน 225 คน คิดเป็นอัตราร้อยละ 53.2 โดยมีผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามที่เช่าที่อยู่อาศัยจำนวน 360 คนคิดเป็นอัตราร้อยละ 85.1 เมื่อศึกษาถึงปัญหาด้านที่อยู่อาศัยพบว่าปัญหาหลักเกิดจากความสามารถในการจ่ายและด้านคุณภาพชีวิต เมื่อนำค่าเฉลี่ยของระดับรายได้ครัวเรือนมาคำนวณความสามารถในการจ่าย พบว่ากลุ่มผู้ใช้แรงงานมีรายได้เฉลี่ย 13,200 บาทต่อเดือน โดยส่วนใหญ่มีระดับค่าเช่าเฉลี่ยอยู่ที่ 2,000-5,000 บาทต่อเดือน เมื่อคำนวณความสามารถในการจ่ายจากร้อยละ 35-40 ของรายได้ พบว่าไม่สอดคล้องกับระดับรายได้ของผู้ใช้แรงงาน นอกจากปัญหาด้านที่อยู่อาศัยแล้วผู้วิจัยยังได้ทำการศึกษาอุปสงค์ความต้องการในอนาคตของกลุ่มผู้ใช้แรงงาน พบว่าปัจจัยที่ผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามส่วนใหญ่ให้ความสำคัญคือปัจจัยด้านระดับราคา และระยะเวลาเดินทางมาแหล่งงาน โดยจะพิจารณาวิธีการเดินทางเข้าถึงแหล่งงาน พบว่ากลุ่มผู้ใช้แรงงานส่วนใหญ่เลือกใช้จักรยานยนต์ และรถสวัสดิการ ดังนั้นผู้วิจัยจึงเสนอแนะให้ผู้ประกอบการพิจารณาเพิ่มพื้นที่ให้บริการด้านรถสวัสดิการเพื่อให้ผู้ใช้แรงงานสามารถกระจายตัวไปยังที่อยู่อาศัยที่สอดคล้องต่อระดับรายได้อันจะเป็นการเพิ่มคุณภาพชีวิต และลดอุปทานส่วนเกินในพื้นที่ได้เป็นอย่างดี
