Abstract: The damage adjudication model in the theater-level combat simulation is the key to judge the target damage status and evaluate the attack process. The current research mainly focuses on the abstract modeling of single ground target, and the needs of the damage assessment of ground aggregation targets in large-scale joint operations cannot be met. Abstract: The significance and reasons of key problems including the simulating efficiency, the model systems, the standard specification and system application are analyzed. On this basis, we discuss how to use techniques of high performance simulation engine, system modeling focused on C4ISR, artificial intelligence, and warfighting experimentation to solve these problems. We propose “two-line & three-layer” model VV&A management, “three-in-one” cooperative working pattern, and standard operation process of simulation analysis. Our works provide references for construction and application of the future joint operations simulation system.

The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines describes the ecological crisis as the "ultimate pro-life issues." Popes John Paul II, Benedict XVI, and Francis have all emphasized that environmental degradation and human life are inseparably linked, disproportionately affecting the vulnerable. This essay examines the crisis through Joseph Cardinal Bernardin’s "consistent ethic of life" (CEL), arguing that it must expand to incorporate ecological concerns. Philippine Studies: Historical and Ethnographic Viewpoints

Thisarticle discusses the metaphorical constructions of martial law that emerge from selected speeches and publications of Ferdinand Marcos from 1972 to 1985. Using a sociocognitive perspective informed by conceptual metaphor studies, the author surfaces conceptualizations that constitute a schema in which constitutional authoritarianism is central to national life and Marcos as an authoritarian is rendered a democrat. Abstract: Aiming at the characteristics that the output signal of outboard active decoy simulation model is non-stationary random signal, a simulation model verification method based on wavelet transform is proposed. The measured and simulated signals are decomposed into low frequency and high frequency parts by determining the wavelet function. Abstract: Aimed at operational situation cognition and some relevant problems under the background of the Joint-Tactical, some deep researches are carried out in this paper. The concept models of combat situation cognition and situation intelligent cognition are proposed respectively, and some related concepts are clarified. The situation intelligent cognition technology framework is proposed, and five key problems which should be solved are analyzed, and the possible technical routes are given. Although existential suffering is amongst the most devastating forms of distress experienced by many patients nearing the end-of-life, it is often unsatisfactorily addressed due to a paucity of effective interventions. However, both historic and recent studies of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy have reported marked alleviation of this suffering. As such, this article seeks to advance the rationale for the use of psychedelic substances in the provision of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy for patients nearing the end-of-life. Venezuela, due to economic and political sabotage, has been experiencing a humanitarian crisis since the late part of 2018. This oil-exporting nation was faced with economic decline after 9/11, the 2008 economic recession and again in 2014; as a result of oil prices tanking. Under Cesar Chavez’s presidency the Venezuelan Bolivar faced destabilizing inflation rates surged in part by the ‘economic war’ against private enterprise and the bourgeoisie class, as well as a lack of diversification of exports and a dependency on imported goods. CPS Energy retained SWCA Environmental Consultants (SWCA) to complete an intensive cultural resources survey for the Interstate Highway (IH) 10 / Loop 1604 to Farm-to-Market Road (FM) 1518 Project (Project). The Project consists of the installation of a 3.44-mile (5.53-kilometer) long steel supply gas main in eastern Bexar County, Texas. The total size of the proposed area of investigation is 22.9 acres (9.3 ha) in extent, which represents the area of potential effects (APE) for the Project. On August 15 and 16, 2019, Advanced Archaeological Solutions (ADAS) conducted a block survey and linear right-of-way (ROW) surveys of several separate segments of proposed access road, overhead electric transmission line corridor area and a block survey area (33.75 acres) that total 2.44 miles (12,883 linear feet) located near the Town of Fabens, El Paso County, Texas (Figures 1-2).
