Analytical Comparison On Inductive Wireless Power Transfer System For Biomedical Devices, Suhad Jasim
Engineering and Technology Journal
This paper presents a comparative analysis for the four basic topologies of inductive link wireless power transmission, thereby allowing designers to select the most appropriate topology according to the requirements of the application. Wireless energy transfer systems applied for diagnostic or monitoring signals in biomedical devices to eliminate the needs for tethering wires or implantable batteries. Inductive link studied as main technique in wireless power transmission for biomedical devices. In various applications, the maximum delivered power and maximum efficiency of an inductive link system are two important factors to be considered. The efficiency expression for power transfer of the four …

Effects Of Enhancement P+ Layer On Igbt Operation, Inmar Ghazi, Hayder Assafli, Wail Nassir
Engineering and Technology Journal
IGBT (Insulated-gate bipolar transistor), is used widely in high voltage applications, it is very important to realize the doping profile in order to understand the design and the electrical performances of such devices. The performance depends on the layer, doping, and a carrier distribution among each layer. A specific selected layer can be added with precise properties for enhancing the device and increase the low current operate requirement. In this paper, an IGBT device is an enhanced and better performance achieved by the addition of a heavily positive doped intermediate layer. The collector current is decreased from 0.05 mA to …

Enhancement Of Thermal Storage Properties Of Phase Change Material By Using Metallic Swarf, Abdulkareem Khudhair, Falah Hatem, Dher Mohammed Ridha
Engineering and Technology Journal
The phase change materials (PCM) is commonly used for storage heat as a latent heat, the main disadvantage of this method is slow response time during charging and discharging; this due to the PCM thermal properties. This work studied experimentally the enhancement of thermal properties of PCM by adding various metallic swarf such as copper, aluminum and iron swarf. Metallic swarf used as thermal conductivity promoter to produce modified paraffin wax samples. The addition of the previous enhancers was conducted with a weight fraction of (7.5%, 12.5% and 17.5%) to the whole weight of the mixture. The experimental results showed …

Proposed Design Against High-Cycle Fatigue Failure Of Metallic Beams Using Lamination, Riyah Kiter
Engineering and Technology Journal
Fatigue analysis helps in predicting life of the component and seeks improvements of the whole process in design phase. Efforts are continually made to combat the fatigue phenomenon, yet certain mechanical components are still failing due to fatigue. The present work proposes a laminated design of beams, which undergo fatigue. The well-known Paris-Erdogan formula was used to theoretically predict fatigue life of the proposed design. The design was shown to enhance fatigue properties through laminating the cross section of the component; Barriers in front of a propagating crack is deliberately included by lamination. Spectacular levels of improvement in the fatigue …

The medical field defines Alzheimer is the destruction of brain cells sothat the person loses knowledge and perception, afflict both sexes and is calleddementia. The medical field often suffers from accurate diagnosis and detection ofthe disease in the early stages. This paper presents a diagnostic approach ofAlzheimer based on K-mean clustering algorithm with Markov random fieldsegmentation on Magnetic Reasoning Images (MRI) to build software able to helpthe medical staff identifying and diagnosis the disease. The experimental resultshows that 91% accuracy is achieved, which demonstrate the system's reliabilityin the medical …

Evaluation Of Purified Urease Activity From Proteus Mirabilis Using Iron Oxide Nanoparticles And Measurement Of Urea Concentration In Blood, Hadeel Dawud, Entesar Ali
Engineering and Technology Journal
The activity of urease purified from Proteus mirabilis bacteria wasestimated using gamma iron oxide nanoparticles (γ-Fe2O3) which were obtained asstandard in size (20- 40)nm, purity 99%. The enzyme activity was estimated byincubating the pure enzyme with various concentrations of nanoparticles rangedbetween (1- 6) μg/ml. The results indicates a decrease in enzymatic activity withincreasing of nanoparticles concentration. After that, the concentration of bloodurea was measured using urease obtained from a standard kit, urease purified fromProteus mirabilis and the urease- gamma iron nanoparticles solution. Thecomparison was then made among the results of urea concentrations by statisticalanalysis using T-test. The results showed that …
