Design And Verification Of Manned-Unmanned Collaborative Combat Capability System Based On Mbse, Fangbo Wang, Jian Guo, Chenglie Du, Yifan Liu, Pengpeng Zhang
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: The traditional model-based systems engineering (MBSE) method has problems of failing to fully exhibit complex combat logics in manned-unmanned collaborative combat system modeling, neglecting the scenario constraints in interface modeling, and requiring long-term and costly algorithm verification. In order to solve the problems, a methodology and design tool based on MBSE was proposed. An integrated verification method of a system's operational logic, interface design, and algorithmic design was constructed, thus providing a digital and rapidly iterative verification approach for system simulation. A verification environment for multiple key algorithm simulations was established, effectively reducing the economic cost of building verification …

Aubry Townzen, Stella Chigbrow, Katie McBride, Peyton Bolin
ONC-SAFE aims to decrease fall rates and fall-related injuries on an inpatient oncology unit by improving staff adherence to bed alarm activation for high-risk patients through the use of doorframe reminder posters and targeted staff education. Falls are a significant patient safety concern in oncology populations due to cancer- and treatment-related risk factors such as chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy, anemia, orthostatic hypotension, fatigue, muscle weakness, cognitive changes, and medication effects, including opioids, sedatives, and antiemetics. Hospitalized oncology populations identify impaired mobility, treatment-related symptoms, and medication effects as primary …

Nonnative Crayfish In Türkiye: Presence Records, Invasion Pathways, And Ecological Risks, Muzaffer Mustafa Harlioğlu
Turkish Journal of Zoology
The globalization of trade, aquaculture, and the ornamental pet industry has accelerated the transboundary movement of nonnative crayfish species, with significant ecological consequences. Türkiye, a biodiversity-rich country bridging Europe and Asia, has increasingly become a point of concern due to the rising presence of alien crayfish taxa introduced primarily via the aquarium trade and scientific research. This study investigates the presence records of nonnative crayfish species in Türkiye, identifies their likely introduction pathways, and outlines potential future outspread routes across the major freshwater basins of the country. Species such as Procambarus clarkii, Cherax quadricarinatus, C. albertisii, and Cambarellus patzcuarensis have …

Stage-Specific Growth Characteristics Of The Calanoid Copepod Invader Sinodiaptomus Sarsi, Leonid Svetlichny, Kami̇l Mert Eryalçin, Melek İşi̇ni̇bi̇li̇r Okyar
Turkish Journal of Zoology
The population dynamics of the Asian invasive copepod Sinodiaptomus sarsi were studied for four years after its introduction into an artificial pond in Kyiv (Ukraine) in 2020. The growth and development parameters of this species were measured under laboratory conditions. From its first appearance in spring 2020, the abundance of copepodite stages and adults increased from 3.5–5.2 individuals (ind.) m–3 to 1057.8 ind. m–3 in June 2024, suggesting the successful establishment of S. sarsi populations in this region. A characteristic feature of S. sarsi development in ponds is a male-biased sex ratio in the later copepodite stages. The sex ratio …

Turkish Journal of Zoology
This study provides a comparative analysis of two deep-water pandalid shrimp species, Plesionika martia and P. heterocarpus, based on monthly samples collected over one year in the Eastern Aegean Sea. Specimens were obtained from species-specific depth zones (550 m for P. martia and 350 m for P. heterocarpus) to examine morphometric traits, sexual dimorphism, and reproductive patterns. A total of 4419 individuals were analyzed. Females were significantly larger and more abundant than males (K–S test, p < 0.05), indicating pronounced sexual dimorphism. Length–weight relationships revealed negative allometric growth in both species, confirmed by t-tests (p < 0.05). Reproductive activity differed markedly: P. martia showed a short and distinct spawning period peaking in late autumn, whereas P. heterocarpus displayed a prolonged, bimodal cycle with peaks in spring and summer. The gonadosomatic index (GSI) and the proportion of ovigerous females varied significantly by season and species. A strong positive correlation between carapace length and gonad weight was found, with a more linear relationship in P. martia and greater variability in P. heterocarpus. Size at first maturity (L₅₀) was estimated at 22.3 mm CL for P. heterocarpus but could not be reliably determined for P. martia due to limited small size data, likely reflecting ontogenetic depth segregation. The consistent bathymetric separation between these species—also reported in the Western Mediterranean—suggests ecological niche differentiation. Species-specific management measures, including depth-based fishing restrictions and temporal closures during reproductive peaks, are recommended to support the sustainable exploitation of deep sea shrimp stocks in the region.

The Djurdjura National Park (PND, Algeria) is part of one of the world’s 36 biodiversity hot spots, recognised by the United Nations as a national biosphere reserve. It contains the Darna primary forest, a key habitat for several mesocarnivore mammals, including the golden wolf (Canis lupaster), the common genet (Genetta genetta) and the ichneumon mongoose (Herpestes ichneumon). Although their diets are primarily based on animal prey, these carnivores exhibit both qualitative and quantitative reliance on plants, a pattern that merits thorough documentation. We analysed 30 scats per species per month over four years (1440 scats per species). More than 35% …

The problem that was addressed through this study is that faith-based school leaders are challenged to support teachers to address student achievement gaps following the COVID-19 pandemic. Grounded in Bass’s transformational leadership theory, the purpose of this qualitative study was to investigate strategies veteran faith-based school leaders use to support teachers in addressing student achievement gaps in six Ohio districts that had a minimum of 50 students. For this basic qualitative design, semistructured interviews were conducted with one faith-based school leader from each of the six Ohio districts. Thematic coding yielded four themes encompassing the strategies that veteran faith-based school …
The Impact Of Dams On Benthic Macroinvertebrate Diversity In The Bronx River, Jayda Smith, Bobby Habig
The Impact Of Dams On Benthic Macroinvertebrate Diversity In The Bronx River, Jayda Smith, Bobby Habig
Cities and the Environment (CATE)
It is well-documented that dams can have negative effects on fish diversity. What is less known is the impact of urban dams on other aquatic organisms, specifically macroinvertebrates. Dams might create a mosaic of habitat patches in which above dam habitats exhibit differences in water chemistry and physical properties compared to below dam habitats, resulting in differences in macroinvertebrate diversity between these two habitats. Alternatively, the impacts of urbanization might overwhelm the impacts of dams resulting in biotic homogenization where both above dam and below dam habitats are dominated by a few of the same pollution-sensitive taxa or invasive species. …

How The Irs Is Trying To Encourage Taxpayer Buy-In Post-Appeal Mediation, Lingxi Qu
Cardozo Journal of Conflict Resolution (CJCR) Blog
With the 2025 tax return season underway, taxpayers may have dispute resolution options if tax-related disagreements with the IRS occur. Before pursuing litigation, taxpayers can pursue several dispute-resolution options provided by the IRS, including fast track (“FTS”), early referral, and post-appeals mediation. Choosing an appropriate program depends on the status of the disputes and who is currently managing your case. When taxpayers have ordinary unsuccessful appeals negotiations, they can file a request to the IRS Independent Office of Appeals for a non-binding mediation. This will allow a neutral third-party to facilitate conversations between parties without experiencing costly and exhaustive litigation, …

Review Of 3d Human Reconstruction Methods Empowering Vr/Ar, Lisha Zhang, Yuchi Huo, Qi Ye, Anjun Chen, Shihui Guo, Jiming Chen
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: 3D human reconstruction is critical for VR/AR. Early methods relied on multi-view cameras and depth sensors but were costly. Mid-term approaches using parametric human models enabled efficient single-image reconstruction, while implicit neural representations improved fidelity yet suffered from low efficiency. Currently, 3D Gaussian Splatting achieves high accuracy and real-time rendering as a new paradigm. Challenges include detail distortion and limited generalization, and future development will focus on VR/AR integration.

Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: In the process of brain-computer interface(BCI) technology stepping from laboratory to practical application scenarios, it is difficult to make an accurate prediction and evaluation of the effect of real environment factors on the system performance. Therefore, a research method based on a multifactor simulation experiment was proposed. A controllable simulation experiment environment was constructed, and the parametric modeling of two key physical environmental factors, namely noise and light, was carried out. By taking the number of electroencephalogram channels as the system parameter, this paper systematically studied the influence mechanism of the aforementioned factors on the decoding performance of P300-BCI. …

Neural Radiance Fields Based On Explicit Feature Matching And Scaled Dot-Product Attention, Mingwei Cao, Fengna Wang, Zilong Wang, Haifeng Zhao
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: To address the problems that neural radiance fields(NeRF) are prone to artifacts and texture blurring in novel view synthesis under sparse view input and complex scenes, this paper proposed neural radiance fields based on explicit feature matching and scaled dot-product attention(EMD-NeRF). A multiscale feature extraction network was used to extract multi-scale feature information from the input sparse views. A fusion dot-product module was utilized to calculate view interaction information as a shared branch. Cosine similarity was adopted as a matching clue for similarity embedding volume rendering. A regularization loss function was used to enhance the quality of the scene …

Integrating Geometric Priors And Importance Sampling For High-Fidelity Indoor Scene Reconstruction, Tao Yang, Min Shi, Xigang Zhao, Suqin Wang, Qi Wang, Dengming Zhu
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: Gaussian splatting suffers from geometric distortion during scene reconstruction, particularly in weakly textured indoor scenes. To address this issue, this paper proposes a high-precision indoor scene reconstruction method that integrates geometric priors and importance sampling. The proposed method fully considers the effect of the initialization process on reconstruction quality. An advanced feed-forward model is employed to generate high-quality geometric initialization, thus improving overall reconstruction stability and accuracy. An importance sampling strategy is introduced to mitigate the adverse effects of blurry images. Furthermore, a supervision mechanism based on a geometric prior model is designed to constrain the scene structure, further …

Analytical Reentry Guidance Method Based On Lift-To-Drag Ratio-Velocity Profile, Weibo Sun, Ping Ma, Yuxuan Wang, Songyan Wang, Tao Chao
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: An analytical reentry guidance method based on the lift-to-drag ratio and velocity profile was proposed to address the challenges of precise flight time control and prohibited area avoidance for the hypersonic glide flight vehicle during the reentry phase. A reduced-order reentry motion model was established; the Chebyshev series was used to approximate its nonlinear integral terms and differential equations; analytical expressions for the glide trajectory were yielded. The analytical relationships among flight time, remaining range, and the lift-to-drag ratio and velocity profile were derived. The optimization problem of lift-to-drag ratio and velocity profile was converted into a segmented parameter …

Abstract: To accurately evaluate the damage efficiency of a lethal blast warhead on quadruped robots, a typical quadruped robot replication model and vulnerability damage tree were constructed through Autodesk Inventor. The power field calculation model of a lethal blast warhead was introduced. Based on the high-precision collision detection and graphic rendering technology of UE, this paper carried out the intersection detection of destructive elements and targets and realistic scene visualization. A visualization system for damage assessment of quadruped robots by a lethal blast warhead was developed, featuring capabilities such as parametric modeling of the lethal blast warhead, power field evolution …
