Air cleaning reduces indoor exposure to fine particulate matter (PM2.5) during wildfire smoke events. However, resource and cost constraints may limit access to air cleaning during such an event, as both commercial devices and the higher-rated MERV filters that do-it-yourself (DIY) assemblies typically rely upon tend to be expensive and in short supply. In this paper, the multi-symplectic formulations of the two-component Camassa–Holm system are presented. Both the multi-symplectic structure and two local conservation laws of the generalized two-component Camassa–Holm model are proposed for its first-order canonical form. Then, combining the Fourier pseudo-spectral method in the spatial domain with the midpoint method in the time dimension, the multi-symplectic Fourier pseudo-spectral scheme is constructed for the first-order canonical form. Meanwhile, the discrete scheme of the residuals of the multi-symplectic structure and two local conservation laws are also provided. The purpose of this study was to explore the personal narratives of five recent African American high school graduates, from several rural educational backgrounds, to understand the impact of ruralness on the construction of their mathematics learning process and mathematics identity. Narrative interviewing was used to gain valuable data which was analyzed through a qualitative thematic analytical approach and linear reconstructed narratives.
