Al-Bahir

The working principle of a self-balancing robot is similar to that of an inverted pendulum, with the mobile robot's controller playing a crucial part in both self-balancing and stabilization. It is the kind that constantly modifies itself to keep balance when it rides on two wheels. This review will center on the basic construction of the suggested robot, summarize the recent studies relative to control methods and the building of the two-wheeled self-balancing robot, and discuss the outcomes of control experiments conducted on hardware systems. It will assist researchers in building and designing two-wheeled mobile robots in the future.

Control Method Of Serial / Parallel Boosting System With E-Boosting Devices Sep 2024

Control Method Of Serial / Parallel Boosting System With E-Boosting Devices

Defensive Publications Series

Two-stage turbochargers are often used for IC engines to achieve higher overall pressure ratios resulting in increased the power density within the short duration of the intake valve opening. A typical two stage application may use the first turbocharger for pre-compressing the air (low pressure compressor) while the second compressor lifts the boost pressure to the desired level. A serial compressor and parallel turbine configuration often causes knocking and control issues for engine because of different pressure in different manifolds. The proposed solution uses electric motors on both the shafts to maintain desired pressure in exhaust manifolds.

Integrated Cast Noise Suppressor On Compressor Housing With Ported Shroud Sep 2024

Integrated Cast Noise Suppressor On Compressor Housing With Ported Shroud

Defensive Publications Series

Ported Shroud for a compressor housing allows air from downstream of compressor wheel inducer to recirculate back to upstream in order to increase flow stability and avoid surge. However, this results in an increase in noise produced by the compressor. Noise suppressors that are typically added at the inlet to address this problem make inlet assembly complex and increase the cost. The proposed solution addresses this issue with a novel design of a ported shroud in which noise suppressor is integrated into the compressor inlet and cast as a single component.

Evaluation Of Satellite-Based Remote Sensing Methods For Monitoring Of Winter-Flooding Of Agricultural Fields For Migratory Birds, Thomas Patrick Dill

Student Theses and Dissertations

Agricultural land conversion in Arkansas has caused the loss of 72% of wetland habitat, reducing wintering ground for migratory birds. Winter-flooded agriculture fields resemble seasonal wetlands. Federal agencies and private organizations have recognized the importance of this and have invested millions of dollars in subsidies. While remote sensing has been used in wildlife management, there is currently no method to remotely track adoption or monitor fields. To create this ability, we examined four spectral indices: normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI), normalized difference water index (NDWI), and two different versions of the modified normalized difference water index (MNDWI). We also compared …
