Challenges In Optimization For The Performance On Sustainability Dimensions In Reverse Logistics Social Responsibility, Sumarsono Sudarto, Katsuhiko Takahashi, Mochammad Dewo
Makara Journal of Technology
Reverse logistics social responsibility is preferred as the most acceptable solution for addressing the challenges in stakeholders’ debate regarding social responsibility in supply chains because it involves as many actors as possible in the supply chain to perform social responsibility to achieve sustainability. This paper explores the challenges in achieving optimal policies in sustainability dimensions for collection and recycling facilities in reverse logistics. Sustainability dimensions include economic, environmental, and social aspects. The reverse logistics is modeled on System Dynamics, and a simplified statistical analysis using a contour chart is employed in numerical experiments. Results show a narrow area of optimal …
A Student Induction Program’S Impact On Young “Techies’” Purpose In Life And Its Effects On Their Well-Being: A Case Study Of Telangana, India, Ankit Shah
Dissertations
India's higher education system aims to develop well-rounded individuals with intellectual curiosity, a spirit of service, and a strong ethical foundation. However, the current state of technical higher education in India is criticized for mono-disciplinarity and rigid boundaries that do not provide an appropriate context for developing socially conscious individuals who make productive contributions to society. To address this growing concern, the Department of Higher Education in India introduced the Student Induction Program (SIP). The primary objective of the SIP is to foster purpose, which is not only meaningful to the students themselves but also to their nation; as such, …

Local Labor Markets Exposure To Artificial Intelligence, Greg Call
Dissertations
As more evidence builds that artificial intelligence (AI) is a new general-purpose technology driving a fourth industrial revolution, scholars have begun to consider its potential impact on labor markets. The current debate among researchers is centered on whether AI will ultimately produce net new job gains or losses and what type of workers will benefit or be displaced. While no consensus has developed yet within the literature on AI’s predicted net employment impact, a majority of studies are forecasting that a skill-biased technological change will occur.
This exploratory study contributes to the current literature by operationalizing Webb’s objective patent-based AI …

Equity In The Math Classroom How Math Teachers Can Achieve Equity Despite District’S Budget, Tony Edward Kohanek
School of Education and Leadership Student Capstone Projects
American pedagogical theorist and teacher educator, Gloria Ladson-Billings, has done the research and shown how impactful the achievement gap is as it is “one of the most pressing education-policy challenges that the states are facing” (Ladson-Billings, 2006). What makes this issue such a problem is that students don’t even need to be in school for it to appear as noted by Andy Porter of Penn State’s GSE (Graduate School of Education). He states that by the time children reach the age of three or four, there’s already a one standard deviation achievement gap between white children and POC, people of …

Post-translational modifications (PTMs) play key roles in regulating cell signaling and physiology in both normal and cancer cells. Advances in mass spectrometry enable high-throughput, accurate, and sensitive measurement of PTM levels to better understand their role, prevalence, and crosstalk. Here, we analyze the largest collection of proteogenomics data from 1,110 patients with PTM profiles across 11 cancer types (10 from the National Cancer Institute's Clinical Proteomic Tumor Analysis Consortium [CPTAC]). Our study reveals pan-cancer patterns of changes in protein acetylation and phosphorylation involved in hallmark cancer processes. These patterns revealed subsets of tumors, from different cancer types, including those with …

Government Domination On Television Digital Migration Regulation In Indonesia, Feni Fasta, Ade Armando, Pinckey Triputra
JURNAL KOMUNIKASI INDONESIA
This study aims to analyze the migration from analog television to digital television in Indonesia, which has been going on for more than a decade. One of them is the issue of multiplexing management rules. This multiplexing should be used for the benefit of the public because it uses public frequency. Researchers assume that there is government domination in determining policies that accommodate the interests of investors with significant capital and ignore the public interest, including the interests of small investors in the broadcasting industry. This study analyzes various regulations related to digital migration using critical policy analysis methods. The …

As proof of concept, we developed a wearable paper-based virus sensor based on a molecular imprinting technique, using a conductive polyaniline (PANI) polymer to detect the lentivirus as a test sample. This sensor detected the lentivirus with a 4181 TU/mL detection limit in liquid and 0.33% to 2.90% detection efficiency in aerosols at distances ranging from 30 cm to 60 cm. For fabrication, a mixture of a PANI monomer …

Inertial kinetics and kinematics have substantial influences on human biomechanical function. A new algorithm for Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU)-based motion tracking is presented in this work. The primary aims of this paper are to combine recent developments in improved biosensor technology with mainstream motion-tracking hardware to measure the overall performance of human movement based on joint axis-angle representations of limb rotation. This work describes an alternative approach to representing three-dimensional rotations using a normalized vector around which an identified joint angle defines the overall rotation, rather than a traditional Euler angle approach. Furthermore, IMUs allow for the direct measurement of …

In this work, a mathematical model of industrial wastewater treatment technology was formed. First, wastewater treatment technologies were analyzed and the technology of ion-exchange resin treatment was selected. A water purification device using ion-exchange resins was made, and tested on the Kungrad soda plant and the results were obtained. According to these results, it was determined that the cleaning coefficient of the device is up to 98-99%. In this article, a mathematical model of a wastewater treatment device using ion-exchange resins was developed using the stoichiometric matrix method. After the mathematical model of the process was found, a graph of …

Here are algorithms for the synthesis of adaptive control systems based on the neural network approach presented. The issues of choice of architectures of neural networks that produce parametric identification of the object regulation. Adaptative neural networks that reproduce the optimal parameters of implemented controllers, methods of forming training samples for their training are considered. The other question of using the theory of artificial neural networks for approximating the functional of the controller's tuning parameters are determined. Structures of synthesized neural networks of parametric identification of objects with self-alignment in an open loop ACS are proposed. Algorithms made it possible …
