Recent studies have demonstrated that platelets are crucial in inflammation and immune responses. Alteration in platelet activity impact morbidity and survival due to the formation of intravascular clots or bleeding resulting from impaired platelet function. Aiming to evaluate changes in platelet activity in dogs with naturally occurring acute pancreatitis (AP), we identified differences in quantitative and morphological platelet indices, as well as the ratio of platelets expressing P-selectin on their surface (activated platelet ratio; APR) between dogs with naturally occurring AP and healthy dogs. Existing web browsers and automated agents often lack the precision required to monitor specific, dynamic elements within a webpage, frequently relying on unstructured text analysis or full-page refreshes. Described is a method and graphical user interface for the targeted monitoring of individual webpage elements. A user-defined selection tool is employed to identify a specific document object model (DOM) element, such as a field displaying a song title or a social media comment container.

Cryptographic Identity Document System Using Totp- Derived Symmetric Keys For Offline Issuer-Mediated Access Control, Michael Benaudis

This disclosure describes a cryptographic identity document architecture enabling offline content decryption and issuer-mediated access control through Time-based One-Time Password (TOTP, RFC 6238) derived symmetric keys, without reliance on any server, certificate authority, or pre- shared key material at decryption time. The system combines: (a) dual-domain symmetric key derivation, where two PBKDF2-SHA-256 derived keys (600,000 iterations, NIST SP 800-132 2023) serve respectively for issuer-side storage encryption and recipient-side content decryption; (b) AES-256-GCM authenticated encryption of identity payloads; (c) embedding of an obfuscated TOTP secret in distributed documents using a position-dependent multi-factor XOR transformation that defeats static extraction; (d) IIFE-based JavaScript …

In September 2025, Nepal’s Generation Z, those born roughly between 1997 and 2012, mobilized one of the largest horizontally organized youth rebellions in South Asia, using digital platforms to coordinate mass protests against corruption, unemployment, restricted opportunity, and failures of public governance. These grievances are exacerbated by Nepal’s unique geographical conditions, leading to severe physical disconnection due to the country’s extremely mountainous terrain. Scientists predict rising sea levels and intensifying storms will bring increased flooding, erosion, and other climate-driven coastal hazards. In January 2026, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (“NJDEP”) adopted the Resilient Environments and Landscapes (“REAL”) rule amendments. While the REAL rules made New Jersey the first state to adopt forward-looking climate-adaptation land-use regulations, New Jersey’s economic and environmental interests conflict. The court dismissed the landlord's holdover petition based on res judicata, finding that a prior trial determined the tenants were lawful occupants directly with the landlord, not the landlord's roommates, licensees, or month-to-month tenants. The original occupancy agreement for the low-income unit listed all parties as occupants, indicating the landlord misrepresented the relationship during the apartment application. The court concluded the landlord had no superior possessory rights to evict the tenants and ordered a hearing for the tenants' legal fees due to the landlord's frivolous conduct in commencing the proceeding.

Police violence in the United States occurs at an alarming rate. Enforcing federal criminal laws aimed at holding law enforcement officers accountable for their misconduct is difficult. Even where there is strong evidence of guilt, jurors often acquit officers rather than allow them to face criminal consequences for their actions. This Article examines suspected nullification verdicts in excessive force cases through the lens of an expansive body of research on juror and jury decision making.
