MYST lysine acetyltransferases (KATs) are a class of epigenetic enzymes critical for cellular function that constitute an emerging therapeutic target in cancer. Recently, several drug-like MYST inhibitors have been reported that show promise in preclinical models as well as in clinical trials of breast cancer. Understanding the specificity of these molecules is critical for their effective use as chemical probes. Here we apply an integrated profiling strategy to systematically define the potency and selectivity of drug-like MYST KAT inhibitors. First, we use optimized chemoproteomic profiling and histone acetylation biormarkers to study the industry-developed KAT inhibitor PF-9363. This reveals dose-dependent engagement …

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into clinical decision support (CDS) holds promise for proactive, personalized, and precision care. However, current understanding of how to establish trustworthy human-AI partnerships is in its infancy, despite its critical importance for implementing AI in healthcare. We present the Asthma-Guidance and Prediction System (A-GPS) as a case study of a practice-integrated AI platform that demonstrates how trustworthy, generalizable and sustainable AI can be developed, evaluated, and implemented in real-world asthma care. We describe major challenges and solutions based on our real-world experience during the process and offer the practical framework, approaches, tools and workflow …

Assessment And Mitigation Of Covid-19 Occupational Hazards Among Small Businesses In A High-Risk Community, Sadie H Conway, Denise Vasquez, Soyoung Kwon, Kristina D Mena, Louis D Brown, Janelle Rios

Faculty, Staff and Student Publications

Purpose –: This project explored COVID-19 workplace hazards and factors influencing the implementation of risk mitigation approaches among small businesses in a high-risk community.

Design/methodology/approach –: Using a novel framework, data were collected from 90 workplaces through site visits and consultations with at least one owner, manager or supervisor ("employer") and at least one non-managerial staff member ("employee"). A risk assessment and mitigation plan were prepared based on site-specific hazards; later, a follow-up visit assessed whether recommendations had been implemented and factors influencing these decisions.

Findings –: A total of 84 businesses (93.3%) implemented at least one recommendation, citing ease …

Commercialization Of Conservation Areas: Mapping The Key Policy-Governance Issues In The Current Scholarship And Outlining A Future Research Agenda, Danis Syahroni, Ni Nyoman Bintarin Milenia, Much Taufik Tri Hermawan, Micah R. Fisher, Ahmad Maryudi May 2026

Commercialization Of Conservation Areas: Mapping The Key Policy-Governance Issues In The Current Scholarship And Outlining A Future Research Agenda, Danis Syahroni, Ni Nyoman Bintarin Milenia, Much Taufik Tri Hermawan, Micah R. Fisher, Ahmad Maryudi

Forest and Society

The global expansion of area-based conservation has been accompanied by an upward trend in its commercialization, but research on this phenomenon remains fragmented and lacks a comprehensive analysis of its development. This study conducts a bibliometric analysis on 275 journal articles published between 1996 and 2024. Analysis identifies four foundational clusters in early scholarship, namely: ecotourism development; complex linkages between tourism and livelihood; neoliberal conservation and power relations; and, payment for ecosystem services (PES). The current research landscape, we identify, reveals a broader set of six policy/ governance-related thematic clusters, as follows: sustainable tourism and meaningful participation; tourism for poverty …

Oscillation Properties Of First-Order Difference Equations With Nonmonotone Delays: New Insights And Criteria, Emad Attia, George Chatzarakis May 2026

Oscillation Properties Of First-Order Difference Equations With Nonmonotone Delays: New Insights And Criteria, Emad Attia, George Chatzarakis

Turkish Journal of Mathematics

In this paper, we examine the oscillatory behavior of the first-order linear delay difference equation Δy(n) + p(n) y(τ(n)) = 0, n ∈ ℕ0. It is known in the literature that, for any C > 0, the condition lim supn→∞i=τ(n)n p(i) > C, with τ(n) nonmonotone, is not, in general, sufficient to establish the oscillation of the difference equation. We prove that, for certain classes of difference equations, the aforementioned condition is sufficient to ensure the …

An Equity-Based And Culturally Responsive Bill Of Rights For Early Childhood Students Of Color With Exceptionalities, Evette Simmons-Reed, Michelle Frazier Trotman Scott, Gloria Tardash, Mildred Boveda, Donna Y. Ford

Perspectives on Early Childhood Psychology and Education

The COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated existing disparities in early intervention (EI) and early childhood special education (ECSE) services for culturally and linguistically diverse (CLD) disabled children, exposing critical gaps in access, services and support. systemic inconsistencies in implementation, training, and funding, remain barriers limit opportunities for CLD students to benefit, despite the aims of the Individuals with Disabilities Improvement Act (IDEA). To address these inequities, this manuscript proposes an expanded and updated Culturally Responsive Equity-Based Bill of Rights for EI and ECSE. Building upon Ford and colleagues' (2018) work, this revised document extends protections to children aged zero to five, emphasizing …
