Implantable drug delivery devices have many benefits over traditional drug administration techniques and have attracted a lot of attention in recent years. By delivering the medication directly to the tissue, they enable the use of larger localized concentrations, enhancing the efficacy of the treatment. Passive-release drug delivery systems, one of the various ways to provide medication, are great inventions. However, they cannot dispense the medication on demand since they are nonprogrammable. Therefore, active actuators are more advantageous in delivery applications. The impact of SARS-CoV-2 infection on the human microbiome remains a dynamic and intricate puzzle. This study delves deeper into this mystery by revisiting the oral and gut microbial compositions of 53 COVID-19 patients before and after viral clearance, alongside comparisons to 76 healthy individuals. Through a comparative lens, we have emploed two distinct differential abundance methods – DeSeq2 and ANCOM – while drawing upon the thorough SILVA database encompassing the full-length 16S rRNA gene. The purpose of this qualitative interpretative phenomenological analysis study was to explore the lived experiences and perceptions of college students with disabilities while using technology to pursue postsecondary education. The research problem explored technology barriers students with disabilities might face while participating in their courses due to the inaccessibility of learning materials. The literature reviewed contained many themes, including disability in higher education, assistive technology, digital accessibility, course design, inclusive pedagogy, universal design, and open educational resources. Nearly 75% of high school students reported having at least one adverse childhood experience (ACE) (Anderson et al., 2022). The effects of trauma include hindrances to skill acquisition and task completion because of how one’s executive functioning is inhibited (Cohen & Barron, 2021; Hubel et al., 2020; McClain, 2021). Students with trauma may experience “emotional, relational, behavioral and cognitive levels that will significantly impair their psychosocial functioning” (Milot et al., 2010, p. 232). The Journal of Law Teaching and Learning

Law students struggle with disproportionately high rates of depression, anxiety, addiction, and disconnection. This paper offers a novel explanation for these negative outcomes that thus far has been absent from conversations on the subject: Law schools fuel students’ sense of threat. According to psychology’s well-established cognitive appraisal model, students “appraise” stressful situations as either challenging or threatening. Educational environments appraised as threatening consistently lead to negative outcomes—lower student performance, decreased student engagement, and increased anxiety. Situations appraised as challenging lead to positive outcomes—improved academic performance, increased participation, and better overall health.

Law is a liberal art. Unfortunately, this fact is often forgotten by legal educators, legal practitioners, and citizens. This collective amnesia does not just pose a problem of proper academic categorization. Our inattention to law’s character as a liberal art of law has a profound effect on the full realization of the rule of law in contemporary constitutional democracies. Reclaiming law as a liberal art is critically important, and this effort should be at the center of our approach to legal education.

This article builds on our prior research about metacognition and its importance for law students’ learning. We hypothesized that given our past findings about the relationship between metacognition and academic performance during the first year of law school, it was possible that metacognition might also play an important role in success with a third-year bar preparation course and/or on the bar exam.

The NCAA has enjoyed being the primary provider of college athletics for over a century. It has used this dominant position to impose its authority over member universities in a wide variety of areas. The NCAA has a plethora of enforcement measures and has enjoyed extensive judicial protection for its regulations, despite the fact that it essentially operates as a cartel. It has withstood an overwhelming majority of the charges alleging that it violates the Sherman Act by unreasonably restraining competition and it appears that this has resulted in the NCAA developing a feeling of immunity.

In an effort to revitalize its popularity and increase competition with other sports and entertainment events, the Association of Tennis Professionals ("ATP") reorganized their professional tennis circuit, the ATP Tour, in 2009. Known as the Brave New World Plan ("BNW Plan"), the redesign was intended to attract a greater number of top-tier players to the most prestigious tournaments. As a result of the reorganization, the German Tennis Championships in Hamburg, Germany was downgraded from a Tier I to a Tier II tournament.

Some philosophers and political theorists have argued that to achieve a just society we must eliminate gender roles. Few would dispute that many of the reductions in the influence of gender over the last fifty or so years have increased justice in the U.S. Whether justice requires that our society become entirely gender-free, however, is more controversial. A common argument for retaining at least some gender roles is that some are natural consequences of biologically determined average physical differences between the sexes. International football federations are composed of national associations that have an independent character from their governments. FIFA and UEFA actively defend the autonomy of national associations, including the use of far-reaching "punitive" measures.
