In today’s contemporary architecture, the growing of anonymous and interchangeable spaces has diminished the distinctive character of the place, its individuality and experiential signification, fostering placelessness. This research argues that the framework of reconsidering place’s atmosphere offers a pathway to reconnect people with places through emotional, sensory, and embodied encounters. The global population is aging rapidly, with projections indicating that by 2050, one in six people will be over the age of 65. In Egypt, the aging population, particularly those aged 60 and above, is expected to grow significantly, posing a growing public health concern. Unhealthful diets (that are associated with overweight and obesity), are one of the main reasons associated with non-communicable diseases (e.g., diabetes and cardiovascular diseases) are major risk factors for poor aging outcomes. A bibliometric analysis was conducted over the bibliographies of astronomy and geology doctoral dissertations written between 1970 and 2020 in order to review the document types that are utilized and cited. An investigation was made of various cited reference ages and how cited references in dissertations have evolved with the advent of electronic resources and preprint services. Our study examined 50 astronomy and 50 geology dissertations with 10 dissertations selected from each decade (n = 100). Results measured included 13,475 total references and the study found that references to journal articles increased, and book citations have decreased in both …

Most state residents think the country is on the wrong track, but almost all Republicans think the country is headed in the right direction.

New Hampshire residents are divided about President Donald Trump in the early days of his second term, with higher approval for Trump's handling of the economy than his handling of foreign affairs. Granite Staters are deadlocked over Trump's executive order pausing foreign aid and pausing a ban on TikTok, but oppose eliminating birthright citizenship, withdrawing from the World Health Organization, and renaming the Gulf of Mexico. Granite State Republicans largely support these recent executive orders and are more optimistic about the direction of the country than at any time since 2003.

Majorities of Mainers oppose Trump's executive orders revising birthright citizenship, withdrawing from the World Health Organization, and renaming the Gulf of Mexico. A majority think Elon Musk's current role in government is inappropriate and a plurality oppose the creation of the Department of Government Efficiency.

Fusobacterium nucleatum is an opportunistic pathogen with four subspecies: nucleatum (FNN), vincentii (FNV), polymorphum (FNP), and animalis (FNA), each with distinct disease potentials. Research on fusobacterial pathogenesis has mainly focused on the model strain ATCC 23726 from FNN. However, this narrow focus may overlook significant behaviors of other FNN strains and those from other subspecies, given the genetic and phenotypic diversity within F. nucleatum. While ATCC 23726 is highly transformable, most other Fusobacterium strains exhibit low transformation efficiency, complicating traditional gene deletion methods that rely on non-replicating plasmids. After the 2011 uprising that took place, Libya has gone through several civil wars, which led the UN Security Council (UNSC) to dedicate a special mission to mediate the armed conflict and facilitate the democratic transition period while ensuring inclusivity. Martian meteorites result from large impact events on the surface of Mars that cause intense shock metamorphism. This study examines the shock metamorphic features of three shergottite meteorites, Dho 019, NWA 12241, and NWA 15628, to better understand shock impact events. The research uses petrographic analysis, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), and electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) to analyze the meteorites. A key focus of this research is the formation of maskelynite, a glass with plagioclase composition, whose formation mechanism has been the substance of debate among researchers. Summary This Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) project focused on addressing burnout for staff nurses working in a psychiatric hospital. Evidence indicated that burnout among nurses, caused by emotional stress and heightened responsibilities, may result in increased medical errors, diminished patient satisfaction, and significant dangers to patient safety and care. The practice-focused question for this project addressed whether a mindfulness-based educational intervention program would increase staff knowledge and decrease burnout among nurses working in a psychiatric hospital. The Pennsylvania legislature responded to ever increasing requests for information by expanding transparency in government and access to records through the Right to Know Law (RTKL). Every Pennsylvania agency is required to have an open-records officer. The payment of unemployment compensation benefits seeks to provide partial and temporary wages to employees who have become involuntarily unemployed “through no fault of their own.” However, this is not without limitation. In Pennsylvania, a former employee may be barred from receiving unemployment compensation if the unemployment is “due to his [or her] discharge . . . from work for willful misconduct connected with his [or her] work.” Although the legislature has provided the over-arching rule for when unemployment compensation benefits may not be provided, the determination of whether an act constitutes willful misconduct is a question of law to …

Opioid addiction is a rising issue in the United States and is continually recognized as a public health issue. This epidemic is also rising inside prison walls. In fact, the risk of overdose death associated with opioid use is higher for individuals recently incarcerated compared to individuals who are free in society. To counteract the epidemic and help those with addiction, Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) programs are being used more frequently. However, the lack of availability of MAT programs in prisons continues to be a concern.

Private equity and hedge fund managers (General Partners) typically receive a percentage share of the profits from the funds that they manage as part of their compensation for managing the investments made by investors. This compensation is commonly referred to as “Carried Interest.” General Partners are then entitled to a more favorable tax treatment of their compensation—as compared to most other taxpayers—by deferring the tax on Carried Interest and having it taxed at a lower, preferential rate.
