AIM:

The aim of this study was to assess knowledge, attitude, and practices about online education during COVID-19 outbreak among dental professionals in India.

MATERIALS AND METHODS:

A sample of 200 participants was taken comprising interns, postgraduate, faculty, and private practitioners of dental specialty. A prevalidated 15-item questionnaire incorporating four domains was distributed among the participants. It was followed by statistical analysis of the data.

Diabetic nephropathy is the most common cause of kidney failure and end-stage kidney disease. The present study was undertaken to find ocular changes and complications associated with diabetic end-stage kidney disease.

Milker's nodule is caused by a cylindrical parapoxvirus that is most commonly endemic in cattle. It affects those in close contact with animals harboring the virus. We report a 30-year-old female, milkmaid who presented with painful raised lesions over the right hand of 8-day duration. No lymphadenopathy was noted. Skin biopsy revealed epidermal hyperkeratosis, parakeratosis, and acanthosis with dense inflammatory infiltrate in the papillary dermis. The patient was treated with a course of antibiotics for the secondary infection, as there was no specific treatment for the same.

OBJECTIVES:

The aim of this study was to sonographically measure and compare the pronator quadratus muscle thickness (PQMT) in apparently healthy volunteers between two occupational groups and to assess the influence of hand dominance on the PQMT.

METHODS:

A total of 180 apparently healthy volunteers were enrolled in the study. The volunteers were grouped into repetitive (90) and nonrepetitive (90) workgroups. They were scanned with a B-mode ultrasound machine and linear transducer.

RESULTS:

The mean PQMT was significantly higher (

Angiolymphoid hyperplasia with eosinophilia is a benign condition which presents as vascular nodules or plaques, which are often multiple and grouped, located in the head and neck region, especially around the ears. It is associated with arteriovenous shunts in many cases, and they may be painful, pruritic, or pulsatile. On histology, it is characterized by proliferation of blood vessels with epithelioid cells surrounding the larger vessels and accompanied by eosinophils.
