This article revisits the method of introspection as a valuable tool for studying religious experience in Estonia, where spirituality is often personal, unaffiliated, and deeply introspective. Drawing on the legacy of the Dorpat school—particularly Karl Girgensohn—it highlights how experimental introspection can illuminate the dimensions of faith. Considering Estonia’s post-Soviet religious individualization, the method offers a culturally fitting and academically rigorous approach. The study argues for the revival and adaptation of introspective techniques to explore the inner dynamics of belief in a secular yet spiritually curious society.

Regulatory toxicology depends primarily on animal testing, which limits throughput, mechanistic interpretability, and applicability to human-relevant endpoints. This dissertation presents computational approaches that integrate publicly available bioactivity data with machine learning to support chemical safety evaluation. Oral carcinogenicity was modeled using curated chemicals from the US Environmental Protection Agency’s Integrated Risk Information System (IRIS) and activity data from over 1,900 PubChem assays. Quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) models trained on statistically prioritized assays demonstrated strong predictive performance and were applied to rank the carcinogenic potential of more than 16,000 compounds. Aim: This scoping review summarizes evidence on the impact of environmental factors on breast cancer risks and outcomes.

Methodology: A systematic search was performed on PubMed, CINAHL, and ScienceDirect to identify peer-reviewed, English-only sources published between 2020 and 2025 on the impact of lifestyle factors on breast cancer risk and outcomes.

Results: A total of 15 studies (three cohort studies, two cross-sectional studies, five systematic reviews, four narrative reviews, and one case-controlled study) met the inclusion criteria. The necessity to move my Russian as a second language (L2) classroom in an event tent during the “main” pandemic year encouraged me to create lessons engaging students’ movement and thus rediscover the Total Physical Response (TPR) method. This research examines the paradoxical relationship between the destruction of religious buildings in Ukraine during the Russian invasion and the effectiveness of Russian propaganda narratives. Using a mixed-methods approach combining statistical data, sociological surveys, and document analysis, we investigate how the systematic targeting of Ukrainian religious sites by Russian forces has produced effects contrary to those likely intended. The research reveals that instead of undermining Ukrainian national identity, the destruction of churches and other religious buildings has catalyzed profound transformations in Ukraine's religious landscape, accelerated the transition of parishes from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) to the Orthodox Church …

Plant genotype is known to affect plant-invertebrate interactions. However, in megadiverse tropical habitats there has been relatively little exploration of the influence of the plant genotype on plant growth and biotic interactions in an experimental setting. We set-up three adjacent plots in rainforest at the foothills of the Andes (Orellana, Ecuador), where we planted clones of 37 individual Heliconia stricta rhizomes collected from up to 4 km away. This qualitative case study investigates faculty perspectives on artificial intelligence (AI) integration within a private university context, examining pedagogical, administrative, and ethical implications. Data collected through semi-structured interviews with faculty across four disciplines revealed ambivalent yet cautiously optimistic attitudes. Participants acknowledged AI’s potential to enhance personalized learning and reduce bureaucratic burdens through automation. However, three critical barriers emerged: (1) insufficient institutional technological infrastructure, (2) lack of systematic faculty training programs, and (3) unresolved ethical dilemmas surrounding data privacy, algorithmic bias, and academic integrity. When women in leadership experience career disruptions, they and their organizations lose. Companies forfeit experienced, mission-aligned talent, while women face instability and professional setbacks. This qualitative study offers a diagnostic foundation for understanding how organizational communication contributes to these disruptions. Guided by the cultural approach to organizations and using a constructivist grounded theory methodology, the study draws on semi-structured interviews with 14 mid-career women who experienced career interruptions. Findings identify three interrelated communication-related factors: mission-driven overwork, gaslighting, and value incongruence. Rather than prescribing solutions, the study centers on women’s lived experiences to highlight the communication patterns they perceive as harmful. …
