This action project focuses on addressing the need for a research-based activity to understand the operational worldviews related to the counseling practices of the counselors at the Abundant Life Counseling Center. The purpose of this transcendental phenomenological study was to explore how K–12 school leaders respond to critical incidents in schools. A critical incident is any actual or alleged event or situation that creates a significant risk of substantial or severe harm to physical or mental health, safety, or well-being. The study focused on three major critical incidents: school shootings/gun violence, the COVID-19 pandemic, and racial unrest. This study empirically examines the moderating effect of bank competition on the link between monetary policy interest rates and bank risk-return dynamics in Vietnam from 2007 to 2019. The findings suggest that during monetary expansion, marked by decreasing interest rates, banks typically employ a more conservative strategy regarding their credit portfolios, thereby minimizing risk exposure. Nonetheless, this risk avoidance incurs reduced interest margins, decreased overall profitability, and compromised stability. Furthermore, the research utilizing both traditional and funding-adjusted Lerner indices indicates that increased market concentration, or diminished bank competitiveness, mitigates the impact of monetary policy interest rates on the trade-off between …

The court found that the notice of petition was defective because it did not comply with the form mandated by 22 NYCRR 208.42(b) and Administrative Order 163/19. Citing precedent from other courts, the judge held that even minor technical defects can be grounds for dismissal. The court declined to rule on the tenant's separate argument regarding the landlord's acceptance of rent, as the defective notice of petition was sufficient grounds for dismissal.

The “regular” Republicans were the conservatives within the reform-dominated Republican Party at the dawn of the twentieth century. Heirs of the Republican “stalwarts” of the Gilded Age, they were the “machine,” “establishment,” and “old guard” Republicans in the Age of Theodore Roosevelt. Overall, they preferred traditional, “patron-based” and “service-oriented” party organization over the “issue-driven coalitions” of progressive reformers. Across most of the nineteenth century, American politics was rooted in simple party identity, and this traditional “politics of organization.” In the early twentieth century, however, progressives ushered in what historian Arthur Schlesinger, Jr., later called a “politics of ideology,” grounded not …

INTRODUCTION: As healthcare systems transition to value-based care models, it is critical to understand factors influencing costs and outcomes in neurosurgery. This study utilizes Time-Driven Activity-Based Costing (TDABC) to assess the impact of surgeon experience and case volume on costs, clinical outcomes, and operative value in lumbar fusions. While TDABC has been applied in various surgical specialties, its use in neurosurgery, particularly in analyzing surgeon-specific factors, remains limited.

PURPOSE: Orbital color Doppler imaging (CDI) is useful in the evaluation of sudden monocular vision loss, providing information on etiology which may guide management. We present two cases of amaurosis fugax progressing to retinal artery occlusion (RAO) associated with migration of a hyperechoic particle within the central retinal artery (CRA) and altered vascular dynamics found on CDI.

OBSERVATIONS: Both patients presented with amaurosis fugax, and CDI revealed a hyperechoic particle 2.8 mm from the optic nerve head in both patients. Patient 1 was found to have severe aortic stenosis and a thoracic aortic aneurysm and was managed with dual antiplatelet …
