Objective Research performing organizations (RPOs) are increasingly expected to strengthen research culture and support the responsible conduct of research (RCR). Institutional supports are central to advancing research culture across RPOs. To inform development and evaluation of these supports, surveys were conducted within an RPO.

Method Perceptions of research culture and RCR were examined using surveys conducted in 2022 and 2024. Between surveys, accessible training and supports on good research practices were developed and deployed.

Results Awareness of research impact, authorship, and collegial support remained high (p > 0.05), with significant improvements in access to resources and reporting pathways for inappropriate research …

Digital payment transactions fail when a payer's computing device lacks an active internet connection, which can cause transaction failures in areas with poor network coverage. This disclosure describes systems and methods that address this issue by leveraging a merchant's network connectivity. For example, a payer's offline computing device (e.g., a smartphone, smart watch, or wearable device) can generate a multi-layered, cryptographically secure data payload encapsulating transaction and authorization details. This payload can then be transferred locally, such as via a dynamic quick response (QR) code or near-field communication, to a merchant’s terminal with an active internet connection . This research examines the reconstruction of ethical code enforcement for election organizers in Indonesia through the perspective of prophetic law, arguing that ethical adjudication should extend beyond procedural compliance by integrating humanization, liberation, and transcendence as normative foundations of substantive justice. Employing doctrinal legal research, the study uses statutory, conceptual, case, and comparative approaches. It compares Indonesia's regulatory framework with the ethical governance systems of India and the United States to identify institutional models that strengthen integrity while respecting distinct constitutional traditions. This study aims to develop a dedicated questionnaire to measure the effect of field leadership on achieving performance quality among specialist supervisors of sport education in the Directorate General of Education in Baghdad / Al-Karkh/ 2, in sical education teachers (N = 463). The sample was divided into an exploratory sample (n = 48) and a main application sample (n = 415), achieving an actual response rate of 89.3%. A 26-item instrument was developed to assess field leadership dimensions (13 items) and performance quality outcomes (13 items). This study examines how gender shapes psychological experience across five of Shakespeare’s major plays: Macbeth, Hamlet, Othello, King Lear, and Twelfth Night. Existing scholarship treats Shakespeare’s tragic women, tragic men, and comic heroines as separate problems; this article asks whether one framework connects them. Its starting point is the reversal in psychological positions between Macbeth and Lady Macbeth: he resists killing on moral grounds and then grows recklessly violent, while she plans the murder with cold resolve and is later overwhelmed by guilt. This paper develops a model of financing that jointly determi nes a firm’s capital structure, its voluntary disclosure policy, and its cost of capital. Investors who receive securities in return for supplying capital sometimes incur losses when they trade their securities with an informed trader. The firm’s disclosure po licy and the structure of its securities determine the information advantage of the i nformed trader, and hence the size of investors’ trading losses and the firm’s cost of ca pital. Black race and Hispanic ethnicity are associated with higher mortality in severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID) following hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT), though mechanisms remain unclear. We evaluated 796 children with SCID who received nonsibling HCT between 1982 and 2020 using data from the Primary Immune Deficiency Treatment Consortium. Overall survival for Black (aHR 2.47, 95%CI 1.64, 3.71) and Asian/Pacific Islander patients (aHR 1.82, 95%CI 1.00, 3.30) was significantly lower compared with non-Hispanic White patients, while Hispanic patients had lower event-free survival (aHR 1.83, 95%CI 1.27, 2.63) compared with non-Hispanic White patients. Media literacy education is widely held to have moved from a protective to a participatory paradigm. This study asks whether the children's digital rights literature that informs it has made the same move. Records were retrieved from Web of Science and Scopus (search date 31 August 2026), screened, and deduplicated, yielding 1,012 publications from 1993 to 2026. A dictionary built on the protection–provision–participation framework of the Convention on the Rights of the Child was applied to 4,507 keywords. Protection accounted for 40.4% of classified keywords, provision for 44.4%, and participation for 15.1%. Protection exceeded participation by 2.4 to 3.1 throughout, …

Safety control of the underground coal gasification (UCG) process involves ensuring that the process runs smoothly, monitoring changes occurring on the surface and in the rock mass, and counteracting the negative environmental impact of the process. The article presents the application of a monitoring system implemented in Poland, both in pilot tests conducted in shallow coal seams at the Barbara Experimental Mine and in deep coal seams at the Wieczorek mine, where a full-scale gasification process was tested. In response to widespread criticism of exploitative prison communication costs, Congress enacted the Martha Wright-Reed Just and Reasonable Communications Act of 2022 (the “Act”). This legislation tasked the Federal Communications Commission (“FCC”) with establishing fair rates for phone and video calls made by inmates in jails, prisons, and immigration detention centers. While the Act marks a critical step in reducing financial burdens on incarcerated individuals and their families, it does not cover other widely used communication methods, such as electronic messaging, emails, and tablet-based platforms. Courts increasingly rely on cadaver dog evidence in criminal trials, treating canine alerts as a reliable form of forensic evidence. This naive acceptance of cadaver dog evidence, coupled with courts’ continued application of out-dated admissibility standards, threatens to perpetuate wrongful convictions in an era of rapidly advancing scientific understanding. Courts typically evaluate correctional uses of force by zooming in on the last seconds before impact, asking what an officer reasonably perceived at the “moment of threat.” That frame obscures a basic feature of jail and prison operations: officers’ pre-force tactical choices often create or sharply heighten the risks that force is later used to manage. Building on Barnes v. It examines foundational cases in child pornography law that allowed child pornography materials to bypass First Amendment constraints, the “lascivious exhibition” standard, and recent precedents allowing courts to prosecute morphed images. Background: Mpox (formerly monkeypox) is a double-stranded DNA virus with increasing global prevalence, particularly among men who have sex with men (MSM) and individuals living with HIV. Co-infections with other viruses such as HSV and Varicella have been reported, but no documented cases with Coxsackievirus exist to date.

Case: We report the first known case of co-infection with Mpox and Coxsackie B virus in a 30-year-old transgender female with well-controlled HIV. The patient presented with a diffuse painful rash, perianal lesions, rectal pain, and constitutional symptoms. The rise in use of herbal and dietary supplements, which are regulated as food rather than as drugs by the Food and Drug Association, poses the risk of unknown and potentially severe side effects. We describe the case of acute liver injury, characterized by significant elevation in AST and ALT, likely induced by the consumption of an over-the-counter supplement containing alpha lipoic acid (ALA). Our patient trusted in a “natural” alternative to Western medicine for management of neuropathy, which was ultimately detrimental to her liver. Granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA) is an anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA)-associated vasculitis classically involving the respiratory tract and kidneys. Although musculoskeletal symptoms are common, they are rarely the initial or dominant presentation, which may lead to diagnostic delays. We present the case of a man in his 40s who initially presented with acute asymmetric oligoarthritis and constitutional symptoms. Initial evaluation for infectious and crystal-related etiologies was unrevealing. During hospitalization, he developed cutaneous vasculitic lesions, including punctate digital lesions and subungual hemorrhages, prompting further investigation. Imaging revealed bilateral pulmonary nodules, and serologic testing demonstrated markedly elevated PR3-ANCA levels. Lung and skin biopsies …
