The Impact Of Dams On Regional Economic Growth: Empirical Evidence From National Strategic Projects In Indonesia, Muhammad Nur Hidayat, Irfani Fithria Ummul Muzayanah

This study analyzes the impact of dam operations on regional economic growth in Indonesia by applying the economic base theory within a Difference-in-Differences (DiD) framework. The panel dataset covers 259 regencies/municipalities surrounding 48 National Strategic Project (PSN) dams, categorized into core regions, immediate neighbors, and second-tier neighbors over the 2018–2023 period. The results indicate that dam operations significantly increase Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in agrarian regions, with estimated gains of IDR 2.6 trillion in core regions and IDR 2.4 trillion in immediate neighbors, while effects remain statistically insignificant in non-agrarian regions. In fulfilling their role of monitoring individuals outside of a prison setting, probation officers may encounter individuals who have antisocial personality disorder (ASPD) or antisocial personality (ASP) traits. Individuals who have ASP traits and are not diagnosed with ASPD are still impacted by recommendations of punishment, higher recidivism rates, and a lack of treatment resources provided. Why are deeply personal and lived experiences often reduced to standardized measurements? Calling is one such experience. Although widely recognized as complex, personal, and contextually shaped, the concept of calling has most often been researched through quantitative methods over the past two decades. This study employed qualitative content analysis (QCA) to examine how calling was researched across 267 peer-reviewed journal articles, trace methodological patterns, and consider how those choices influence the field’s conceptualizations of the construct. The analysis integrated deductive coding of methodological features and inductive identification of conceptual themes, refined through abductive synthesis. The project is a Clinical Practice Guideline (CPG) for managing Gastrointestinal (GI) toxicities related to Glucagon-like Peptide-Receptor Agonist 1 (GLP-1RA) and Glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide/Glucagon-like peptide-1Receptor Agonist (GIP/GLP-1RA) medications. Many patients are seeking weight loss with these agents, which cause GI toxicities that lead prescribers to have patients remain at lower doses that are sub-therapeutic or discontinue therapy. Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) are prescribing these therapies for patients and lack an evidence-based CPG for properly managing the most common GI toxicities. The transition from medical school to residency is both a transformative and a challenging process. International literature suggests that there are known or perceived gaps in preparation for residency training in many areas of medicine. However, in the current published literature, there is no discussion of perceived gaps existing in pathology residency preparation. Exposure to radon and its progeny poses a significant health risk for workers in tourist caves. Implementing protective measures is challenging due to increasingly strict gas concentration and dose limits in new regulations. This study evaluates the annual effective radiation doses received by workers and researchers, considering seasonal and spatial radon variability. Radon levels, temperature, and ventilation patterns were continuously monitored for at least one year in each cave. Results show significant radon fluctuations influenced by seasonal ventilation regimes driven by thermal gradients between the cave and external atmosphere. This paper presents a contrastive analysis of noun phrases in English and Albanian. It focuses on their syntactic structures and key distinctions. Employing a qualitative approach, the research uses descriptive and comparative methods to analyse data from grammar and syntax books in both languages. The study examines simple and complex noun phrases, particularly the use of definiteness, premodifiers, and postmodifiers. The findings reveal that while both languages share similarities in using indefinite noun phrases, they diverge in marking definiteness: English uses definite articles, whereas Albanian incorporates definiteness through morphological changes.
