This study aims to analyze the influence of institutions on economic growth in East Asian countries. The research data were collected from 5 countries in East Asia from 2005-2020. Model analysis was performed using dynamic panel data using the Generalized Method of Moment Arellano-Bond approach. The results showed that Voice and Accountability, Political Stability and Absence of Violance, Government Effectiveness, and Rule of Law had no influence on economic growth in East Asia. Fiscal sustainability is a concern in many economies, especially with increasing government debt in many countries, including Indonesia. This study aims to analyze fiscal sustainability in Indonesia for the 1970-2018 period. There are two methods to assess fiscal sustainability: testing the stationarity of government debt and estimating fiscal sustainability using the fiscal reaction function. Error Correction Model is used to estimate the fiscal reaction function. The fiscal sustainability test with the debt stationarity test and the fiscal reaction function had consistent results, indicating fiscal sustainability in Indonesia. This study aims to identify and analyze the factors that influence poverty of 33 province in Indonesia at 2010-2019. In this study using panel data regression using the Random Effect Model (REM). The currently available systems that perform EoT detection face issues such as detection of only the long pauses and added overhead cost from conversion of audio to text for analysis. The Stony Island Arts Bank (SIAB) in Southside Chicago was designed and founded as a piece of art itself, with the organizational structure being a museum of Black cultural production. This article examines how the institution constructs an epistemology of Blackness through its archival practices, community programming, and spatial claims on the South Side. Founded by artist Theaster Gates through the Rebuild Foundation, the SIAB positions institutional design as an art medium, operating in productive tension with orthodox museum methods. Turkish Journal of Agriculture and Forestry

Understanding the inheritance pattern, heterotic groups, and inbreeding depression is a prerequisite for hybrid rice seed production. Therefore, this study employed a full diallel mating system involving two tall varieties and three medium-statured mutants. The results revealed the significant differences in plant height, panicle length, tillers per plant, fertility percentage and grain yield. Heterosis was more pronounced for grain yield (24.2%), followed by tillers per plant (19.8%), and panicle length (19.2%). Conversely, inbreeding depression was lowest for tillers per plant (–11.5%) and grain yield (–6.8%). The additive–dominance model provided a good fit for tillers per plant and plant height, indicating …

A landlord initiated a holdover proceeding, alleging occupants were licensees. The tenants moved to dismiss, contending they were tenants at sufferance or at will, thus requiring a 30-day notice of termination under RPL § 228, not the 10-day notice served. The landlord argued a prior Appellate Division decision, which found tenants were not rent-stabilized, estopped this claim. The court disagreed, holding that prior findings did not preclude the tenants from arguing non-licensee status. Recognizing the tenants had exclusive possession, the court determined they were improperly classified as licensees, rendering the 10-day notice insufficient and dismissing the petition without prejudice.

We present a robust PID control for a 2 DoF exoskeleton actuated by permanent-magnet direct current (PMDC) motors. The control design exploits the architecture of the exoskeleton’s dynamical model, which is regarded as the interconnection of a mechanical and an electrical subsystems. The inner loop control for the mechanical subsystem uses robust PID control while the outer control loop uses a model-based control for the electrical subsystem. Lyapunov’s second method is used to show asymptotic stability of the position and velocity tracking error equilibrium point. Asymptotic stability in Lyapunov sense is proved in a twofold procedure. Salinity Response In Tunisian Durum Wheat Genotypes: Genetic Relationships, Phenotypic Variation, And Ssr Marker-Based Computational Modelling, Rim Mzid, Rayda Ben Ayed, Imène Ayachi, Elyès Babay, İnci̇ Tolay, Lamia Hamrouni, Abdullah Eren, Mohsen Hanana

Turkish Journal of Agriculture and Forestry

This study identifies salt-tolerant durum wheat genotypes for breeding programmes by integrating phenotypic, genotypic, and computational analyses of 27 Mediterranean varieties. Cluster analysis and principal coordinate analysis (PCoA) revealed two distinct genetic groups: modern genotypes (high-yielding Tunisian/Italian cultivars) and ancient genotypes (traditional Tunisian landraces). Among tested cultivars, JnehKhottifa and Grécale exhibited exceptional salinity tolerance, maintaining >80% germination at 200 mM NaCl, while Om Rabiaa and Agili showed sensitivity (<50% germination). Bayesian network modelling was used to explore the probabilistic relationships between simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers (e.g., CFD40 and GWM182, PIC = 0.561) and important traits such as root length and germination rate under stress. Genetic diversity analysis (average PIC = 0.407) highlighted the potential of SSR markers for trait-marker associations. These findings establish a valuable platform for enhancing marker-assisted selection salt- tolerant durum wheat varieties, essential for securing yields in saline-prone Mediterranean regions.

This study aimed to explore the individual, institutional, and job-related factors influencing the job performance of technical staff in the Regional Forestry Directorates located in the Mediterranean Region of Türkiye. Data were collected through a mixed-method approach, including mostly face-to-face interviews, complemented by partially online questionnaires. Data were obtained from 650 technical staff, including regional directors, enterprise managers, section chiefs, and forest engineers. Structural equation modeling was applied, and variables were validated using confirmatory factor analysis. Model fit indices were within acceptable limits (e.g., RMSEA = 0.069, CFI = 0.838, GFI = 0.809). The results indicate that institutional factors had …

Traffic speed deflectometer (TSD) has been widely used in pavement maintenance, yet an indicator system for identifying layer-specific structural strength remains lacking. On the basis of a three-dimensional finite element model incorporating viscoelastic damage, this study analyzed how surface damage density and the modulus of the base and subbase affect deflection slope. Two layer-sensitive indicators of structural strength were proposed:S10 (deflection slope 10 cm ahead of the load center) for characterizing the surface layer, and S30 (deflection slope 30 cm ahead of the load center) for reflecting the structural strength of the base layer. To gain an in-depth understanding of the mechanical behavior of existing asphalt pavement structures affected by reflective cracks, a macro-meso coupled model of a typical semi-rigid base asphalt pavement was established based on a continuum-discrete coupling method. By incorporating reflective cracks with varying vertical lengths, the stress transfer paths, mesoscopic particle stress states, and displacement evolution of the pavement structure were analyzed. The results indicate that the coarse aggregate skeleton and the surrounding mortar collectively bear more than 75% of the traffic load, forming a critical load transfer system, and that a significant linear correlation exists between the vertical stress …

After the US Supreme Court eliminated the federal constitutional right to abortion in 2022, several high-profile legal fights have centered on US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) oversight of mifepristone. Mifepristone (200 mg) is approved, in a regimen with misoprostol, for the medical termination of intrauterine pregnancy through 70 days' gestation. Legal battles over Mifepristone have included a lawsuit challenging the FDA’s initial approval of the drug and the sufficiency of FDA-required restrictions on the drug, as well as lawsuits arguing, to the contrary, that FDA-required restrictions are unnecessary and must be eliminated.

In a nonpayment proceeding, the landlord's petition was dismissed. After a trial on tenant's counterclaims, the court found for the tenant, awarding a $20,000 rent abatement for breach of warranty of habitability due to conditions like damaged floors, mold, lack of heat/cooking gas, and pests. The tenant also proved harassment, receiving $1,000 in compensatory damages and $35,000 in punitive damages, citing the landlord's omission of essential services demonstrating intent or malice, including physical assaults. The court also ordered the landlord to correct all outstanding DHPD violations.
